Rust: Multiple Vulnerabilities (GLSA 202210-09) — Gentoo security

Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in Rust, the worst of which could result in denial of service.

Not surprising there would be numerous Rust security issues in unsafe contexts along with several security issues that the "zero cost abstraction memory safety" simply can't catch, only the fanatics are surprised at this.

Also does the SS13 community deserve a thread (It's technically "open source")? I used to play it but it has gotten worse after 2016 when Goonstation jannies lost their minds after the election. That and the almost yearly "admin of X is a pedophile" drama now.

It might be worth starting a new thread in PG if there's enough content. Otherwise you can always just make an off topic thread. There's an existing SS13 thread but it's dead as hell.

It's also worth noting that the majority of the issues Scrumplex brings up in the issue with regards to broken PolyMC infrastructure were in some cases the direct result of Prism maintainers sabotaging auto-commits and API keys among other things.

Such a shame, he's a young fellow, and his mother is enabling him.
Gathering more information to see how much of this is deep rooted into the project. Obviously the first warning signs is the dreaded CoC.

kaniini lasted approximately zero days away from twitter before continuing on like he never declared his intent to leave twitter the second Elon officially took ownership and has continued to tweet on a daily basis since then. Hector seems to be implying that a lot of mission critical engineers were let go, resulting in Twitter features breaking and bug reports not being handled. My completely unsubstantiated opinion is that mostly management and chair filler jobs were let go and the essential workers were retained.

You're probably correct. But it would also not surprise me if the engineers and coders were feeling overwhelmed at the moment, because Musk is clearly pushing for a lot of new features to be implemented fucking yesterday, with all the issues of bugs and unintended behaviors that come when you put something together in a hurry and also need to be corrected in a hurry. We might be seeing a few stories about engineers who resigned after going through "unacceptable" (read: "we finally had to work 8 hours a day for the first time in 4 years") levels of crunch soon.

I managed to find the same place on Google Maps, but it looks different because Hector's screenshot seems to be an exaggerated zoomed out look, and also the place has changed slightly in the span of 4 years.

You can confirm that Zuienji and Seirinji are in the same places, with the latter not showing up as a temple and only as how it's spelled in kanji (聖輪寺), but you can check in Google translate that it romanizes to Seirinji.
