Yeah, that's FFG's theory. I listened to part of her live stream from a day or two ago until I had to bail because that wheezy cackle of hers is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Anyway, she went to Concordia so she has access to former student lists or something. She claimed she saw that someone with the same name who was from Kuwait had gone to Concordia so she's saying it might be him. That's pretty fucking thin, but she's been right about a few things so who knows? It makes about as much sense as anything in this whole sordid clusterfuck.

I do still think he's gunning for citizenship.

He can visit Canada on a tourist visa for a few weeks (possibly longer, my exfriend had her foreign online fiance stay for at least three months) but you cannot work, otherwise you'd require a different type of visa pertaining to employment.

I imagine, given how quickly my exfriend was engaged, that it's easier to get an extended visa for a partner to visit temporarily. I don't think they're allowed to work, as I also remember many years ago watching a Florida man on Tumblr move for a girl in Toronto and they were dependent on her income.

My ex friend maybe? had a part time retail job during the time they planned to bring her online lover to Canada. She was living in her father's house so perhaps that was a bonus to the application as it looked more like a family supporting the situation. In the Tumblr scenario, it was just a girl who lived alone but had a fairly lucrative career as a tattoo artist.

So if it did come down to spouses income, I could believe that Foodie has the income between a part time retail job living at home and a tattoo artist in Toronto. I don't think her income right now would hold the application back. Maybe her overall financial situation regarding current loans/debts or income taxes.

I believe they also would be able to access our healthcare system on a tourist visa but super fucking joke on them because Canadians can barely access the healthcare system.

I do think this is what's happening. She's going to get a payout -at least a partial stake in the scamsion- for marrying this guy and getting him into the country.
