I doubt it honestly eco people have been retarded since the eco friendly shit started. When was the last time nuclear energy was even a talking point of groups like Just Stop Oil? They always talk about cutting oil use/production/emissions yet they prescribe no real alternative even when nuclear energy is looking you dead in the face.
Even if this was some 24 hour op just look at it, people are supporting this group of their own volition. If eco warriors were intelligent or had intelligent figureheads they'd laugh these retards off but they shin a spotlight instead. Just look at their numbers, 82k followers on twitter, they have support and lots of it. Maybe I'm just cynical, maybe these are just the dumbest of the eco warriors. It just doesn't seem too far off the mark for me.

Mean pretty clearly all these people already have an iq below 85. However it works because instead of the real issue getting air time, these dumb fuckers take up that air time instead and make people sick about it.

I truly believe the goal is to get us sick of it all and stop the talk about how we need to move to nuclear energy and for every country to have some level of energy independence.
Lot of the crazy groups are against nuclear power, but you are right for now it is the best green power we got.
I get being against nuclear, if you live in a country with earthquakes or other unsuitable conditions, but main land Europe? that place is prefect for nuclear power. Hell nothing to stop you for investing in wind, hydro and other green energy at the same time, with a long term goal of them replacing nuclear when it is more feasible.
I never meant to imply aren't useful idiots who are willing to support this group on their own volition. Just head and big brains of it have to be funded by big oil. Maybe I'm wrong, just don't t know how any group that is able to organize things on the level they are could look at the public reaction and think it's working out well for them.

I guess I can kinda see it going both ways, but only if these oil barons aren't intending on moving into the nuclear energy business. When it comes to green energy it seems the market matches the demand. In the U.S alone 20% of electricity generated is generated by renewables, wind and hydro being the two biggest, making up 15% of that. These are widespread and also coincidentally what the eco warriors have been touting as the end of fossil fuels. Also the biggest oil companies are already investing into renewables, I don't see why they wouldn't invest in nuclear energy or geothermal once that becomes the new cool thing to do.
I think if this isn't an op I have lost faith in humanity's ability to use their brain to try to understand why you can't just stop using oil. If it is an op I still have little fain in humanity for being such sheep that they'll be the controlled opposition to the people they think are literally hitler. Either way it's blackpilling that's for sure.

I know some people who support banning internal combustion engine cars, AND expanding nuclear energy, but they're too naive to realize that those who support electric cars AND nuclear energy aren't usually the same people, so therefore it would never work out IRL. Plus banning hydrocarbons and fossil fuels instead of letting alternatives be developed on their own without some rich, self-righteous hippie breathing down their necks would set a precedent.

All the ban internal combustion engine people not only dont know alot about the automotive industry but are usually also retarded. Regardless of how electricity is made just making a battery for EVs causes a lot of pollution its literally mining hazardous materials in Africa then shipping it on a boat to a manufacturing facility in China/Korea/Taiwan and that factory causes more pollution then being shipped to Mexico to be assembled in the car.
The other major problem that these stop oil retards dont understand is at least in the US the government is just virtue signaling. They talk about banning internal combustion cars but make zero effort in actually fixing the electric grid which would immediately collapse as soon as everyone gets off work and plugs thier cars in.

Just Stop Oil announce temporary protest pause but vow escalation if demands not met
Just Stop Oil has declared a temporary pause on its eco-protests - but vowed to escalate action if its demands are not met.
The group carried out a month-long campaign of civil resistance, vandalism, and protest in October in pursuit of its demand that the Government stop all new oil and gas licences.
Activists with the group dramatically attempted to scale Downing Street, vandalised buildings across the capital with orange paint, targeted prize artworks with soup and regularly brought London traffic to a standstill by glueing themselves to the road.
In a warning of fresh action on Tuesday, the group said: “From today, Just Stop Oil will pause its campaign of civil resistance.
“We are giving time to those in the Government who are in touch with reality to consider their responsibilities to this country at this time.
“If, as we sadly expect, we receive no response from ministers to our demand by the end of Friday 4 Nov, we will escalate our legal disruption against this treasonous Government.
“Our action will be proportionate to the task of stopping the crime against humanity which is new oil and gas.”
The announcement came hours after activists attempted to scale the gates of Downing Street on Tuesday morning while calling for stiffer windfall taxes for energy firms.
Some 22 activists with the group “swarmed towards the gates” of Downing Street, shortly after 11am, with some trying to climb the gates and others blocking the entrance via Whitehall by sitting in the road.
Some activists glued their hands to the Tarmac.
Police officers had to forcibly remove the protesters, dragging them away from the scene. There was also a protest at Trafalgar Square.
The group estimates that over its 32 days of continuous action in October, some 678 arrests have been made.
Met officers quickly responded to protesters with the group during their actions on Tuesday.
A statement on Tuesday afternoon posted on social media read: “Met police are aware of protesters blocking the road by Trafalgar Square. Officers were rapidly on the scene and are dealing.”

Falmouth University lecturer and Just Stop Oil activist arrested at London road blockades
A father of three and university lecturer from Cornwall has been arrested in the fifth week of London road blockades. Mat Osmond, 57, a writer and illustrator who lectures at Falmouth University is a Just Stop Oil supporter and was arrested in London over the weekend.
Osmond was among hundreds of Just Stop Oil supporters who have been arrested for blocking traffic in Central London, bringing the capital to a standstill for the fifth week running.
The protesters are demanding that the Government commits to ending all new oil and gas projects in the UK. Just Stop Oil supporters from the south west sprayed orange paint on four buildings in Central London: The Home Office, the MI5 building, The Bank of England and the headquarters of News Corp at London Bridge.
The buildings were chosen to represent the pillars that protesters say support and maintain the power of the fossil fuel economy – government, security, finance and media. The same group blocked other major roads in London in the preceding days. On each occasion, they sat down in the road with their now familiar banners. Many glued themselves to the tarmac.
Osmond, 57, said: “What terrifies me about this crisis is how normalised it’s become. I’m taking action with Just Stop Oil because I can see no other way to confront the obscenity of our governments, and all of us, still choosing to act as if none of this was real.
“Every day now I hear people telling themselves it’s already too late to stop runaway global heating. It’s never too late to act as if the lives of others matter. That’s all the certainty we need. If even one in ten of us who already know what runaway global heating means for human societies took up civil resistance with Just Stop Oil and their allies, there’d be no stopping us.”
Back in 2019, CornwallLive spoke to Osmond who explained why he took a week off work to join Extinction Rebellion protestors in London.
There have been scenes of angry drivers shouting abuse, throwing traffic bollards and dragging the Just Stop Oil supporters off the road, only for them to return immediately to sit down in the road again.
The latest actions follow 30 days of continuous disruption by supporters of Just Stop Oil, which have resulted in around 650 arrests. Since the campaign began on April 1, Just Stop Oil supporters have been arrested nearly 2,000 times, with six currently in prison.
The London blockades come after the UK Government announced it plans to license more than 130 new oil and gas projects. Just Stop Oil say they are peacefully resisting those plans, and what they see as the government’s failure to fulfil its promise to tackle the climate crisis and help people with their skyrocketing energy bills.
A Just Stop Oil spokesperson said: “We are not prepared to stand by and watch while everything we love is destroyed, while vulnerable people go hungry and fossil fuel companies and the rich profit from our misery.
“The era of fossil fuels should be long gone, but the creeping tentacles of fossil fuel interests continue to corrupt our politics, government and the media as they have for decades.
“How else do you explain a government ignoring sensible no-brainer policies like renewables, insulation and public transport, which would cut our energy bills and our carbon emissions, in favour of corrupt schemes to drill for uneconomic oil and gas at taxpayers expense?
“Well we’re done with begging. We are acting to stop new oil and gas because it is the right thing to do. As citizens, as parents, we have every right under British law to protect ourselves and those we love – please join us. Join our weekly zoom calls on Tuesdays at 7pm. The government has the power to end the disruption today by agreeing to stop new oil and gas licences and consents.”

Two Just Stop Oil supporters from Oxfordshire were arrested in London, after scaling the railings at Downing Street
The pair of activists were taking part in a demonstration which saw members of the environmental group swarm the gates of Downing Street in Whitehall.
Several members of the group, including two residents from the county, attempted to scale the gates while others sat in the road to block the entrance.
This action follows weeks of civil unrest by the environmental group as they demand that the Government halt all new oil and gas consents and licenses.
Jessica Upton, 53, was arrested for the second time this month.
The vet, who lives in East Oxford, said: “I wouldn't be doing my job properly as a vet, foster carer and mother if I wasn't doing my utmost to ensure an inhabitable planet for all species.
“Fighting climate change is the ultimate preventative medicine. Our government is failing to step up to the fight and if sitting in a road being yelled at by motorists is what it takes to get their attention, I'll keep doing it.
“Stopping new fossil fuel licenses and exploration is the simple first step our government must take to protect its people.”
Another woman, 71-year-old Rachel Payne from Banbury said: “A world built on sustainable energy resources is possible through proper funding of renewable technologies that have been (and are) being developed.
“But the public are not told the truth about the climate crisis and breakdown and our government is failing to tackle the problem.
“While fossil fuel companies are making obscene profits from wrecking our future, our government is issuing new licences for more fossil fuel extraction.
“António Guterres, United Nations Secretary-General, has told us that: ‘Climate activists are sometimes depicted as dangerous radicals. But the truly dangerous radicals are the countries that are increasing the production of fossil fuels.’”
A Just Stop Oil spokesperson said the Government’s investment in oil is a “genocidal policy”.
They said: “It’s time for a serious windfall tax on big oil, without the get-out-of-jail-free tax credits that will encourage more oil and gas that we cannot afford.
“Vulnerable people will be freezing to death in their homes this winter, unable to afford a can of soup, while his Government refuses to tax the rich and the big energy companies that are profiting from our misery.
“We owe it to our young people to stop fossil fuels, we owe it to our workers to create a just transition to a zero-carbon economy, we owe it to our old people to enable them to live with dignity.
“We are not prepared to stand by and watch while everything we love is destroyed.”

Judge orders more than 180 protesters to stop blocking roads in London

A High Court judge has ordered more than 180 people not to block roads in London following the intensification of Just Stop Oil protests.
Mr Justice Freedman granted injunctions at a High Court hearing in London after an application by Transport for London (TfL).
Another judge had recently made an order against 62 named people. Mr Justice Freedman continued that injunction and made an order against a further 121 named people, bringing the total to 183.
He was told that the names of those 121 people had been given to TfL by the Metropolitan Police after they had been arrested at protests.
The judge also made an order against “persons unknown”.
Mr Justice Freedman delivered a ruling on Monday after considering evidence at a hearing on Thursday.
Lawyers representing TfL had told him that since the start of October “protest activity” had “very largely focused” on London roads.
They said the “deliberate blocking” of roads caused serious disruption and created a “risk to life”.
Earlier in October, Mrs Justice Yip had granted an injunction against 62 named “defendants” and against “persons unknown”.
Mrs Justice Yip also made an order saying the Metropolitan Police should “disclose” to TfL the names and addresses of people arrested as a result of protests.
Barrister Andrew Fraser-Urquhart KC, who led TfL’s legal team, told Mr Justice Freedman that the force had disclosed the names of “further such people”.
He said that, as of Wednesday last week, 1,900 arrests had been “made of Justice Stop Oil protesters” since the start of April – with 585 made since the start of October.
Mrs Justice Yip’s order barred the blocking of specified roads, or locations, in London.
Mr Justice Freedman barred the blocking of six additional roads, or locations, bringing the total to 23.
Lawyers told Mr Justice Freedman that TfL was a “traffic authority” for “important” roads in Greater London.
People who breach civil court injunctions can be found to be in contempt and jailed.
Mr Justice Freedman said he had considered people’s right to free speech and freedom of assembly – and “the important issues” behind the protests.
But he said those had to be balanced against the rights of the “general community” and other people.
TfL had argued that protests were putting people at risk, creating economic harm, causing a nuisance, and costing the police and other public bodies money.
Mr Justice Freedman said he had concluded that injunctions were justified.
He indicated that his orders would be reviewed in about four months.

Legal disruption? Literally none of what JSO has done is legal. In fact judges have ordered them to not block traffic, and rightly so since normal people are complaining about it.

I would assume they have run out of brain dead middle class children to throw into the limelight so they're cooling off until more can be paid off to do the dirty work of a slimy, Welsh cunt.
By legal disruption they are probably referring to the large number of people they've had arrested, clogging up courts. You know, preventing murders, rapists, abusers etc. from being rightfully whisk away from those they've hurt and stopping victims getting actual justice.
