𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

The one sure fact of all time is the government protects itself. Musk literally owns a goddam rocket company that launches spy shit for the United States. They will never ever ever admit they fucked up a background check. Ever.

They’d falsify documents before doing that. Every time.
There’s also the fact that they 100% would’ve checked that shit BEFORE they started launching spy satellites with his company. Even getting a low-level security clearance as a normal person is no joke, there’s no way they would’ve contracted with SpaceX if they had even the slightest suspicion that Elon Musk may have lied to obtain his US citizenship.

Can confirm, clearance for getting involved in anything deemed of "strategic importance" means the glowies calling everyone around you and cross checking all the things you claimed to ever be. Including of course who your real parents are and what passport you could legally hold.

So how long do we have to wait until Musk releases the info regarding the exact number of bots that were controlling Twitter?

I'm curious to learn how far gone Twitter was tech-wise.

Just saw an article in Bloomberg News about the changes Musk wants to make to Twitter. This sentence stood out like a neon light:

Musk has also asked the team to review Twitter’s hateful conduct policy, according to the people, specifically a section that says users can be penalized for “targeted misgendering or deadnaming of transgender individuals.”

Trannies’ status as special protected snowflakes is about to CHANGE.

It would be real neat if Musk bought an ISP and got real friendly with Electronic Frontier Foundation, imagine the sneed!
You know he has an ISP already, Starlink. I'm sure he has a ton of peering already so it wouldn't seem like a big stretch to get into hosting.

So, in all their efforts to shut "gender-critical" sites like us down, not only did they fail (for now, at least), but their hugbox will soon turn into a gender-critical site.

the absolute pinnacle of this entire thing though
Twitter is a private company and can do what it wants.

Still got the feeling that $20 might be a "big ask" moment, and that it'll come down to $5/$10 whenever it actually boots out. Its achieved its goal of starting a convo around the whole thing.
I've heard it posited (on 4chan, so obviously YMMV) that both the $5 and $20 figures were being floated around (via leaks, of course) as a measuring stick to test whether people would accept it at all (even begrudgingly) and, assuming they would, what price point they would find "acceptable."

$20/mo makes verification a "businesses + professionals only" kind of deal. Randos are rarely going to pay that much unless Twitter is literally their whole life and they just can't help themselves (so admittedly there will be some nobodies who pay). $5/mo reaches more into "bot filter + put your money where your mouth is" territory -- a more palatable figure for most people who care about their stupid checkmarks but enough to keep bot operators from bothering with it.

Attaching a monthly service fee of any kind to the checkmark forces people to "wear it on their sleeve" that they're not just using the service, but also financially supporting it. Gonna make for a lot of awkward conversations if they implement this: "hey, you keep posting 'down with Twitter!' and such, but you've got a checkmark, which means you're paying the fuckers $5/mo for the privilege of calling for their destruction. What gives?"

Hell, even a measly $1/mo would probably be enough to chase off the bots but keep a good portion of the rest, and that'd still be enough to make it funnier than ever to shit on people who "hate" Twitter but directly contribute to its revenue.

Side note: great to be back on clearnet. Fuck trannies!

First he needs to purge the Safety and Security department. Matal v Tam in the Supreme Court the justices unanimously reaffirmed that there is effectively no "hate speech" exception to the free speech rights protected by the First Amendment and that the U.S. government may not discriminate against speech on the basis of the speaker's viewpoint.

So how soon til he runs it into the ground? This blue check mark thing is like comedy gold. "$20!" "NO" "Ok, how about $8?"

This is what happens when we all laud a billionaire who got ahead because of Daddy's money.
You must not know your opposition very well. “Fixing” Twitter and turning it into a profitable business is something that matters only to Elon Musk. As far as anyone else is concerned, whether he fixes it or runs it into the ground achieves the same end result: taking a shit all over the loony left’s hugbox before burning it to the ground.

Spending 44 billion, almost 4 times Twitter's value, to own the libs is not the own you think it is.

I'm not surprised the Twitter jannies decided to do a massive banwave as one final way to burn down the site before they get fired.
Musk reduced the number of employees with access to the censorship tools from hundreds to barely more than a dozen

The firings have taken out major pro-jackboot employees, this is going to increase down the ranks

Major changes have already been made and more are coming

Cope, seethe, and dilate, Akhilleus!

You may want to try some of that self-awareness and realize that you are coming off as a crying teenager tantruming about mommy and daddy ruining your life again

Agreed 100%. The only thing that's going to be more satisfying than the endless baying of these janny trannies as they hear rumor after rumor of their layoffs being imminent will be the deafening fucking silence they'll leave behind when their asses get kicked out of the building and their account access revoked.

Again, the price tag matters to nobody but Elon Musk and the investors he roped into the deal. Nobody here has any vested interest in Musk making a profit. In fact, now that Twitter’s off the stock market, it is literally impossible for any normal person to have a vested interest in its success. If an obscenely rich guy orders a round of tranny tears for the table and puts $44 billion on his tab, why should I care if he’s being overcharged? It’s not coming out of my wallet, so I’m gonna be drinking like there’s no tomorrow.
