I'm not quite that vengeful, I just think that most people with psychotic, bipolar, autistic or other antisocial disorders should all have an appointment with their therapist once they turn 18, scheduled at the time of their diagnosis, consisting of a serious conversation about whether euthanasia is an appropriate option. Same goes for anyone who's been convicted of a violent sexual crime or possession of illegal pornography.

It was a male, between 25-40 years of age if I had to guess. It's hard to tell when someone is tweeked out, dressed in a onesie, with a shopping cart full of brightly coloured stuffed animals and other baby items.

As I was driving by, he was taking a blanket out of his bag to make a nest for himself in a shopfront alcove to sleep for the evening. Risk of PL but although it's the country, it's also a college town, so unfortunately he probably has insane students supporting him, as they all have no cars and will walk around the shopping centers and probably encourage this mentally ill person, as the college is rather liberal.

You can legit choose euthanasia in the Netherlands if you're suffering from depression, or PTSD. One woman author who struggled with depression recently died for this reason in her 40s, she was allowed to choose it. Other cases include a woman with anorexia, young women with anxiety. If you want to be absolutely freaked out at 'worst case possible coming true' it's nightmare reading.
I don't think people with the antisocial conditions should be offered euthanasia at 18. What should be done is recognise that mental illness is not a valid reason to be a monster to others around you, we shouldn't let it be a get out jail free card socially. We should have higher standards for people, so we can call out people who act like assholes. This would have the effect of cutting down on the number of people who are so over their shit they feel like euthanasia should be a valid option for them, too.

Yeah I don’t think a therapist should do that, and I don’t think all or any mentally ill person should kill themselves for the sake of society or to stop suffering. Suicide is too prevalent in western society already without the suggestion of mental health personnels. ppl who already made up their mind to see a therapist most likely is willing to change and can get better, they are kinda the wrong crowd.
