Inactive Nick Bate / Nickalaus B. Stoutzenberger - (Thread 3: JUDGEMENT DAY)

I've been following Nick ever since he was brought up on 789chan's version of /cow/, and I've seen much more morally reprehensible ways of getting content from cows *coughskyraiderwiretappingchrisandstealinghisgarbagecough*. I want to see how much he's suffering in prison. I want him to continue writing to null, and I want to see him mentally deteriorate and suffer over the months and years he lingers in prison. From a purey utilitarian perspective, while he might get some pleasure out of knowing people still think of him, I think the pleasure we get from watching him suffer through the medium of his writings vastly outweighs that. I would personally write him as well if I was still in the US.

Nick is almost certainly going to die in prison. He's a target for other inmates both because of his crimes and because he's a coward and weak, he has poor health that is only going to get worse with prison life, and he has poor mental health so I wouldn't be shocked if there isn't at least a suicide attempt.
If he gets out, what exactly do you think he's going to do?
Finding out how Nick is feeling about his current circumstances is completely benign.

For your consideration, an update:

Please don't.

I honestly think that if you provoke him, he'll keep up the letter sending. We're working on getting the DA on the case, and this is NOT going to help. So I'm begging you to not do it. Please.

Nothing anyone else sends to him will affect what you're trying to do.
I understand where you're coming from, because you'd like to retain a bit of dignity, but the one you're trying to bargain with is sometimes unreasonable.
Perhaps Mooney will reconsider until a later date. It's not like Nick's going anywhere.

Unfortunately, the State has a responsibility to protect his health. If he gets an abscess, they'll deal with it in the cheapest way possible.
This is because of those cases of wrongful imprisonment. If the State lets an inmate fester away into death and is later exonerated, it looks really bad for the State, and lawsuits.

I can't be assed to go back and see who was talking about stamps (I think it was nool), but yes, it's common practice to make inmates buy stamps out of their commissary funds.
Basically, a lot of your rights are stripped away, and are treated as privileges. If you can't afford stamps, you can't write people. That's one of the things that convicts use to guilt their family into sending them money.
They can buy things like chips, cookies, etc. too. I'm not sure what the deal is with drinks, since they could make a weapon from a soda can, or even a juice box straw.
That's one of things to consider before being a fuckwit and getting sent to prison, though.
Theres some issues with this. Essentially the prison is making money off the prisoner and their families. Keep in mind we have For-Profit Prisons in the USA. Ive also heard stories of how their using prison labor on farms now that some states have cracked down on using illegal immigrants.

@Null I think it would be a good idea to wait to send the letter til Nick is sentenced or @Ancani 's address is blocked from Nick. That way she is reassured she wont be bothered by Nick again. Also you may want to help @Ancani by delisting this thread from a Google search result involving her full name or her name along with Nick. I think we can be accommodating while also sending the letter.

Also might be a good idea to tell him @Ancani and @maddipuppy cannot be contacted in said letter, and not send it until after they go through the necessary channels. I want to know what he's thinking too, but we should wait until he has no means to contact anyone he's abused previously before we get any sort of updates or insights.

But if you do sent it prior and he responds, do post it by all means.

No, dont even mention them until he does. That might provoke his obsession and make him panic and try again especially if hes told he cant contact them again by someone whos not his jailors. Or better yet dont discuss them at all.

Here is a counterplan: @Null doesn't mention anything about either @Ancani or @maddipuppy in his letter, and if Nick mentions either of them in his letter, it gets redacted. He can't hurt you while behind bars, and you've already gone through the process of blocking him from ever mailing you again.

I don't know if I'm in the minority here, but I want to see what's going through that fucker's mind.

At least wait until after he's sentenced. First, nothing anyone but a victim or someone related to the case can send can possibly help on that front.

Second, Nick's going to be moving right after that, so if he hasn't responded already he'll probably fuck up and lose the address to respond to.

Third, if the sentence is nice and really, really long, it will just begin to sink in mentally to that slow mind.

I don't see any reason to mail him now and a lot of reasons not to.

He's in prison. He's not getting out any time soon, possibly ever.

That's pretty likely, but we don't actually know that for sure until he's sentenced.

That's basically been my view on the issue. We may actually get a better response from Nick after that 8-25 year sentence (my guess) is handed down and sinks in.

I don't get why we're publishing the names and faces of three other pedophiles on the site, and correctly calling people out for their actions being objectively horrible (James Terry Mitchell comes to mind), but all of a sudden Null is all "sympathy for the Devil" in Nick's case. It seems like the general lolcow forum is full of "Full Name Here, Wrote Thesis About Child Porn," but now Nick potentially has fascinating and important things to say? If someone believes @Connor Bible would start writing madly if only he could hear from a real prison inmate, let him do that himself.

Guys he ain't going anywhere, chill ya britches and wait till the bitch is banged up for life before doing something dumb. Who really gives a fuck what he has to say at this point anyway, it's just gonna be 'poopy butt ass Im innocent she came onto me I miss pokemon', not exactly worth all this kerfuffle.

As someone who has been following Nick for the same amount of time, I agree completely. I see nothing wrong in Null mailing him, if he was mailing him pretending to be Arcani or Maddi then I would find it to be problematic but he's not and it actually would be interesting to see what his mindset and psyche is like now he's nearly been in prison for a year.

Maybe it would be better to wait until he's been sentenced unless Null plans to send him a letter immediately since he'll be in a different place soon enough but I can't see any harm in finding out what his mindset is like, especially if all names are censored. I agree that nobody's safety is at stake with this, it's not like getting to send a letter to some stranger on the internet is going to make how Nick feels about his current situation any better. I can't see how you can suggest otherwise.
