That was probably a bystander in the street with CPR training. The pic where she's lying on the street I don't know. Though I think even the average person would not immediately start pounding on the chest of someone who'd just been knocked down by a car. But I was referring to the pic where she's being carried on a stretcher to an ambulance by men in uniforms. Those I presume have EMT training and one of them is repeatedly pushing hard on her chest.
I've been there for almost two years already.People may go from not giving a shit about January 6th to thinking they didn't go far enough real quick if they keep this bullshit up.
Have you ever seen that police film with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy? It's about as bad as you'd imagine but there's a scene in it that is absolutely horrifying in its believability. Bullock's character who obsessively self-educates attempts to perform a tracheotomy on a dude in a restaurant who is choking. Honestly, I could barely watch it despite having seen FAR gorier scenes on film. Reason being it was the sheer believable ineptitude of the enthusiastic amateur which I suspect will one day kill me.That was probably a bystander in the street with CPR training.
It goes like this: Are they responsive? No. Are they breathing? No. Do they have a pulse? No. Perform CPR.
They're now saying the right is anti-cop because we're angry at the weaponization of the DOJ for political witch hunts.
Haven't seen it, but a field tracheotomy is something that's rarely used outside of massive facial trauma.Have you ever seen that police film with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy? Probably through violent chest compressions whilst I've twisted my ankle.
I mean, yeah, but like I added in the end, they'll probably do it when they think people have forgotten which unfortunately many will. They wouldn't otherwise have the audacity to say so if people's memory weren't so crappy. Are you kidding? They vehemently deny that they ever said "Defund the Police!", and put it in snark-quotes to make it seem like an imaginary Republican POUNCE. In spite of the fact that they are on permanent record saying it.
They will claim that they've Always Been At War With Eastasia without skipping a beat.
That's what makes the scene so horrifying. It's actually stayed with me more than most scenes from any horror movie. First the confidence she exudes causing other people in the restaurant to defer to her, then the slit in the throat, the sudden doubt on her face when a big wad of blood starts coming out and the dawning horror on her face and those around her as it becomes obvious she is wildly out of her depth. Crap movie, horribly believable scene. Still makes me shiver. Anyway, was just bringing it up because of your comment about bystanders thinking they know what they're doing when they don't. Thanks for all your insights.Haven't seen it, but a field tracheotomy is something that's rarely used outside of massive facial trauma.
The correct way to deal with choking is the Heimlich maneuver.
Just got to work after voting.
I voted for INNOCENT UNBORN LIFE to be SNUFFED OUT in the womb. I am from Pennsylvania so my vote is actually important. I also stayed there for an hour afterward and sperged out about banning pitbulls and funding bike trails.
That's a surprisingly accurate depiction of what would happen if you tried that shit as a bystander. That's what makes the scene so horrifying. Nigger if my heart isn’t beating it obviously doesn’t want to stay alive. Don’t fucking turn my chest into jello without my consent. That's a surprisingly accurate depiction of what would happen if you tried that shit as a bystander.
CPR is generally pretty pedestrian. I tought it to 13 year olds. What's most important is when to perform CPR.
We do it because, if your heart isn't beating, it is the best and often only way to keep you from staying dead.
Absent cardiac arrest you're just breaking all of the patient's ribs and guaranteeing aspiration pneumonia.
Get a DNR order. Believe me, I'm more than happy to leave you dead. We just work on the assumption that, in a vacuum, most people would prefer a chance at living.Nigger if my heart isn’t beating it obviously doesn’t want to stay alive. Don’t fucking turn my chest into jello without my consent.
That will make a Mehmet Oz win just a little funnier.I voted for INNOCENT UNBORN LIFE to be SNUFFED OUT in the womb. I am from Pennsylvania so my vote is actually important. I also stayed there for an hour afterward and sperged out about banning pitbulls and funding bike trails.
Nigger I’m 78 years old.Get a DNR order. Believe me, I'm more than happy to leave you dead. We just work on the assumption that, in a vacuum, most people would prefer a chance at living.
It's called implied consent. It exists mostly in emergency medicine.
You can recover pretty effectively from mashed up ribs btw. Your grandmother, not so much.
"The Machines that we felt were garbage and didn't work well in 2020 aren't working in 2022 IT'S JUST LIKE PRODUCT!"Dems are stealing Arizona through shoddy equipment, pretty clever
