This might belong in the Peetz thread, but she has likely repaid that tard many, many times over. Remember, he worked at a call center. He wasn't exactly swimming in hundreds of thousands of dollars. She has paid for all of the rent, bills, electricity, food, and bottles of Sprite for at least a year or two now. He was stupid enough to move in with her, and she has been supporting his ass for a truly long time. I know she seethes with resentment towards him, as anyone would.

Regardless of character, when Peetz and Chantal decided to live together, it was at the very least a verbal agreement that Chantal had responsibility for some / most / all the finances of the household. As two grown adults they wilfully entered this verbal agreement.
When they agreed, they probably didn't set an end date or have plans on what happened if one roommate moved out but that never implied Chantal was his forever care taker and she always has the right to leave the agreement.
How she chooses to leave that agreement reflects on her as a person and how she respects personal responsibility to business and personal relationships. Which is absolutely none as she seemingly played games about finding a new place to live and quietly decided the best option is actually to just leave the country in short notice and let Peetz fend for himself. Which is not unheard of but wow, what a piece of shit.
