Polly spent the evening/morning making TikTok videos responding to comments on the video she posted yesterday. This is broken up into 2 posts because I couldn't get the site to allow me to upload them all in one post.

"Except I'm in Alabama, where there are no renter's rights unless you have money to pay for a lawyer. Calling the housing authorities won't do anything, not in this state. This is not the first bad renter we have rented from. I had to leave one other house because they wouldn't fix the water leak and I ended up with a $700 water bill, so I had to move out because I couldn't pay that. That was years ago, but with this particular incident, he's not giving me any reason to believe he has insurance on this house. It's not required in Alabama."

"That's a really good question. If it had not been for 2 or 3 really good friends of mine on Twitter consistently sending cat food and cat litter from Amazon, we wouldn't have made it. And there were times I had to use my own food money to buy the cats food. Like human food to be broke down and made like into a pile of food for the cats. Tuna, chicken, pumpkin, barley. Those are all really good items you can feed cats if you're ever in a bind. You can also give them broth that's not salted. So there are options and that's what I have done. But mostly if it hadn't been for my friends providing the cat litter and cat good - we wouldn't have made it."

To the right of her head in your first vid here, there are some ants swarming on the wall. In the next couple of videos, it looks like she zoomed in so that the ants were out of view?
Then in your next post of videos, you see one of her kitties behind her head staring at where the ants were.
Then after that, she uses a background for her videos, no doubt due to being too lazy to take care of the ant problem.
Those poor babies... I don't want to imagine how much worse the problem is, or what other horrors there are on that wall

A surgically resolved endometriosis DX that takes decades for many women, so not only did she get that DX ahead of the curve, she has essential been cured with a scalpel.
A morbid obesity diagnosis: PCOS, Osteoarthritis, asthma, herniated discs are all caused or worsened, stop pretending there isn't a single explanation.
A personality disorder: cptsd, anxiety, and depression aka she won't admit the BPD DX. People like her aren't depressed, they have tantrums they called depression, but they live and breath hedonism, grandiosity, and self worship. They are the antithesis of MDD as it appears in the DSM. The agoraphobia thing is just bullshit. Mild agoraphobia that comes and goes isn't a goddamned thing, you just didn't want to go out a couple times. Okay, I've only ever heard BPD girls abuse agoraphobia that way, so just add it to the BPD/narcissism pile.
So your fat, have trauma, and have a personality disorder. So... like half the population, who all manage to somehow work. What an absolutely pathetic list, if she wants to munch she needs to up her game.
The tiktok saga is a hoot. It looks like even young people know how to spot learned helplessness. There are legal remedies for shitty landlords, even in podunk backward states like Alabama, and considering your housing is managed federally that's not even an issue. If you "tried" to force him to fix all the issues with the house at all, you didn't try the correct way and you gave up because any other way required effort.
I had a good laugh when she balked at the insurance claim being denied because Joh was driving. He is unlicensed. He is not legally allowed to drive. He caused a collision, something unlicensed drivers tend to do. SURPRISE, insurance companies don't like it when you recklessly disregard the law and they don't have to do shit to help you get out of it.
I also had a good laugh at Joh's explanation of how they're not living outside their means. We don't have cable or internet or a game console! Hey, you have 13 or more animals that you can't afford to take care of! You spend all of your food money on prepackaged frozen foods! You order DoorDash more often than a lot of people who CAN afford the stupid high fees on top of ridiculous restaurant prices! That's called living outside of your means.

I'm more than willing to make that bet, and I'm also willing to bet that she never even read the terms of her car insurance. She just chose the cheapest one and called it good enough. Foresight? Not Polissa's thing.
You are a star for transcribing. As for her responses, they're absolute bull. She knows it, too, and is dancing around by saying "there are no renter's rights unless you have the money to pay for a lawyer." There are no renter's rights because she is completely unwilling to even try. And I say this as someone who 100% believes that Alabama likely favors the landlord legally-- there are indeed states where that's the case, and a lot of them are Southern states. I believe that. But I don't believe that the situation is so hopeless that all she can do is beg for money to move to a tin can trailer.
Also, whether or not he has insurance on the house is irrelevant. He's a landlord who, crucially, is participating in a Section 8 housing program. I've posted the relevant chunks of text before, but Alabama landlords-- by state law-- are required to maintain a habitable structure. And that's before you get into any federal housing program requirements.
I maintain my original position: if repairs aren't getting done, it's because the landlord doesn't even know the full extent of the chaos. I will additionally bet that she got stuck with the $700 water bill because she didn't report the issue in a timely fashion. A $700 water bill didn't happen overnight.
I dare Polissa to prove to us (and to the doubters of Twitter and TikTok) that she's made appropriate contact with the landlord to report the various issues and that he's declined to address them. I'll wait.

I agree. Not repositioning the AC, but instead letting it rot the side of the house and nailing a sheet of OSB board over the eventual damage, is idiotic. That's a fairly small unit; even Mr. Noodlearms should have been able to adjust it.
There are some things that would be a little harder to fix; if the roof is shot, getting up there and nailing down a couple more tarps is really going to be their only option. But it would at least be something, might even solve the problem for a while, and the landlord has already proven that this is an acceptable standard for repairs to his place.
Polissa's whining about no AC was because the only room she had it in was the bedroom, so she claimed she had no choice but to lounge in bed all day during the hottest part of summer. I don't know if the AC unit is hers (in which case, she's responsible for the damage it's caused), or if it came with the house (in which case it's the landlord's fault), but letting it ruin the siding, then acting like a martyr because they had to make a half-assed repair to the damage they allowed to happen—yeah, my well of sympathy is dry.

Fellow poor fag who enjoys making tasty, nutritious meals based around the sales flyers from my most excellent grocery store. If you shop carefully, you can find yourself with a good stockpile of basic foods that cook up into an infinite number of yummy meals. It's fun to score great items on sale & it's that kind of shopping that lets you treat yourself to a better quality cut of meat once in a while as an example.
There are too many resources on how to 'cook poor' online not to eat reasonably well, no matter your income or food source.
