It's because he thinks that he's hiding it from the people watching his videos "on demand", as though they exist and it isn't just the same group of losers playing his videos on repeat. Even worse for him is that trolls will have the parts he doesn't record so they're not just gone like he thinks.
And yes, he does think he has a reputation that isn't utter dogshit. He still to this day thinks his worst sin is "playing video games badly". He genuinely thinks that the average person won't see the shit he pulls and not think him a horrible person. Hell, it's the entire reason he's spent the past few weeks begging for someone to interview him (just don't ask about the interesting topics).
But Null owns those darn kiwifarts who have ruined and endangered his life for years, why should he give them a chance to do it again? Realistically, he's refusing Null because he'd refuse to softball Phil, asking about wwe champions and the bank leaks. Null knows more about Phil than piggy will ever feel safe with.
