Dead video game series/franchises you refuse to let go

Starflight. Training your own crew and exploring strange new worlds was fucking awesome.

One series of franchise I'd refuse to let go is King's Field. While I have only beaten the last game in the series, I admire how From Software had their own series of a first person RPG. As much as how dated it looks, the games had a sort of oppresive atmosphere where it's only you and monsters. Sure there were friendly NPC but they were far and few compared to the likes of skeletons, hostile humans, and other assorted foes. From Software hasn't touched the series since Ancient City and while they did make a couple for PSP, they play very differently.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. It was just one game, but it should've been a series. It'd have been cool to have a sequel starring Boba Fett (he's an overrated character, but still).
I loved Bounty Hunter - a very underrated Star Wars game. I thought I was one of the only people who knew about it. The Bounty system was a bit awkward but the levels and environments were cool and you had so many fun gadgets to play with. It was challenging too from what I remember - still need to track it down on the PSN.

Back when the game came out my friend told me they were making a sequel which would start on Kamino shortly after Jango had supplied his DNA for the Clone army. Now, this friend was a serial fibber about things like sequels (and about most other things) but at the time I didn't have the internet to verify his claims. Needless to say I was very disappointed when I learned a sequel wasn't happening - there is definitely a story for one which will sadly never be told *sigh*

E.V.O. - Action sidescrolling RPG where you play an animal and choose how you evolve. I boot this up once a year, at least.

Apogee's Secret Agent - Probably showing my age here. Also Crystal Caves, which uses the same formula but different setting.

Suikoden - Seeking out more than 100 playable characters is an absolute hoot, not to mention how the devs took care to at least put some personality in a number of said characters. Konami owns it, though, so it's likely fucked.
