I dunno, wasn't he praising Cultic a while back?[...]because he's so bitter he can only ever find things to hate anymore.

It's mathematically impossible. He needs to lost 11k in one and a half month, his decline is around 1-3k monthlyCouldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Here's hoping this leads to 800k before the new year.
How fucking late is he on this?, like two or three years after everyone else covered it while it was the new hot controversy? This week's video is about Doom Eternal's OST creator who was treated like shit I guess
Wow, this is impressively irrelevant for Jim. So instead of wasting my time recapping this, let's go over why Jim deserves being raked over the coals for his Sonic Frontiers review. This week's video is about Doom Eternal's OST creator who was treated like shit I guess
The likely answer is that Jim has a backlog of topics since he refuses to do more than one episode per week despite not even having to edit his own videos anymore. But I'm cynical enough to entertain the idea that Jim is intentionally trying to remind everyone that he totally cares about the devs being abused. Much like hbomberguy, Jimbo would rather Memory Hole anything against him ASAP instead of address the issue. How fucking late is he on this?, like two or three years after everyone else covered it while it was the new hot controversy?
This statement should be chiseled in stone.Never challenge a fandom with that concentration of autism.
To be perfectly fair to Jim, this story got reignited in the public consciousness when a producer for the game did an AMA and threw Mick Gordon under the bus over the OST available for purchase/listening sounds like dogshit compared to the game itself. Mick rightfully responded with credible statements defending himself and making the producer look like a stupid cunt. How fucking late is he on this?, like two or three years after everyone else covered it while it was the new hot controversy?
Chris is about to burst through the wall of his cell like the Kool-Aid man.Never challenge a fandom with that concentration of autism.
Yeah it's gonna be the latter for me. I think Jim keeps forgetting --or is yet to actually realise-- he isn't as popular as he used to be, and even if he was the schtick of 'I irrationally hate everything that isn't up to my impossible and ever-changing standards' has been out of fashion for at least half a decade. The likely answer is that Jim has a backlog of topics since he refuses to do more than one episode per week despite not even having to edit his own videos anymore. Jim vs the Sonic fandom? Lol, the only true winners are us.Jim is currently being cancelled over his negative review of Sonic Frontiers. He called the developers "lazy hack fucks" because the environments look like an asset flip. and that didn't sit well with Sonic fans. They're claiming Jim is harassing the overworked dev team who had been working on this game for a long time and giving the game a 1.5/10 and calling them lazy hacks is "rude" and "exposes that Jim tries to call out industry abuse of devs and workers.... unti it comes time to play their games at which point he stops being kind if he thinks the game sucks, then he becomes a bitter harasser like he's being to Sonic Team, and he was pre-transition to so many indie devs on Greenlight."
It's been hillarious to watch unfold. Even his usual orbiters have called him out. I forsee a tranny exodus from his sub count and patreon.
Also included some examples of even other lgbt people calling him out for his review. returning to actual games criticism rather than just talking about problems of the industry has been a DISASTER for Jimbo, because he's so bitter he can only ever find things to hate anymore. I don't think he's written a single positive review since he's started doing game reviews again. It's like Breath of the Wild all over again. and I REALLY HOPE he doubles down on it like what happened with BOTW and he loses even more of his lgbtq supporters for speaking ill of sonic team.
Back in Jimbo's golden years of 2014-2016, there were a lot of visually incoherent asset flips because they would mix and match packs together just to fart a game out for card grinding. I think he's trying to say it's guilty of asset recycling, likely because the game was padded out for content, but his drug-ruined mind just went to "Asset Flip" instead. It'll be interesting if Jimbo goes the way of King Cobra, only instead of beer and weed, Jim is done in with hormones and dopamine.Everything else aside, how the fuck does something "look like" an asset flip? It either is one or it is not. I'm not really seeing it in the specific argument being made, and most asset flips are completely visually coherent, it's just that there's nothing built onto them beyond the original assets. Because it is an ASSET FLIP.
edit: Hell, one of the most recent popular fad games was full of random assets from different people and even though they didn't go together, not a single soul even noticed. By Jim's logic though, it's an asset flip. Because buying assets to make a game with just never happens. The only purpose for store assets is to sit there and look pretty and nobody should ever buy them.
Has Jim been given two black eyes or is it lack of sleep or really bizarre dark under-eye makeup? Underneath his eyes looks really bruised. This week's video is about Doom Eternal's OST creator who was treated like shit I guess
It's interesting that it's not something equivalent, it's got to be something super inoffensive. I sort of get it, but if I was behind that choice I'd just make it something as fearsome.I think a lot about that Grounded game that everyone ignored as soon as it game out with its arachnophobia settings that can turn the spiders into giant floating happy faces.

It might sound like making a mountain of a molehill, but this dumbing down of media irks me. It's funny that the people that rant about videogames being art most, also believe in stripping the challenging elements of it.
Because even I, the consoomer that is terrified of spiders, must be able to play the game about being attacked by spiders.I was wrong about it being a happy face, but it might as well be.

And my thing is that this is a game that prides itself on attention you detail. Why go to the trouble of making a hyper realistic Honey I Shrunk the Kids backyard just to let people fuck it up with an out of place floating thing? You don’t see mirror’s edge coming with a vertigo mode
