It seems he's trying to do the mafia non-committal answer thing because he realized straight up lying about a story only makes you look bad. So either accidentally or on purpose, Lucas learned he could give little tidbits of information or subtly snip at someone and Kiwis will sniff at it and seek said person out, and pursue if a further connection or funny is made. While he's bouncing between copium and despair, he can now at least use his status as a mildly popular cow to drag down others with him into embarrassment and washed up status. Now, this could be a good thing for him: he can throw live bait into the water for the sharks to be distracted by while he slowly bleeds out himself. He's still in hell, but he can push and take other down with him which will satisfy his petty power play cruel nature. However, even if he does throw live bait, he'll likely get another finger or two bitten off since other people can mutually assure destruction or aren't as bad as he wants us to think, or any other number of reasons it could backfire.

Basically, it may satisfy Keffals to punish others and get us to look at him a little less but ultimately he's still in his own prison and can make it worse for himself too. I see it as fine to look into these people because of it. If he gets a win, we both laugh for different reasons. If the other person gets a win or they both lose, then we get a hardy laugh. Either way, we're still laughing.

Kurt was willing to pay cash for much less benefit to himself just to get a story on paper, now imagine that story wipes out the last perceived problem on the internet he has left...or so he hopes.

Money can buy you a lot of things you wouldn't think of, but sometimes I'm surprised at what it can't. In this case, it's a positive.
