I think it's time to draw some conclusions from this whole incident. What did it result in?

Ukraine: Embarrassed themselves again, but got another aid package of $40 billion so they don't give a shit. Not planning to apologize because they think they can still milk this incident for propaganda points.

Baltics and other insignificant European nations: Got a new excuse to help with their usual begging for gibs, specifically air defense systems.
Russia: Got some good laughs, funny new memes.
US: Biden slept through the whole incident and had no idea what's going on, but still gave Ukraine $40 billion just because.

Did they really embarrass themselves? Last I checked who was forced to retreat from Kherson? Who said it would take only two weeks to secure Kyiv. Then they tried to capture Odessa and failed.

Look most of Ukraine (circa 2008-2014) wanted to be in a pro western sphere. Naturally during the Yushanko years eastern Ukraine at the expense of the western part was getting more money and finance. Even during the movie expendables 2 they did much of the airport filming in the Donestesk airport. These mostly pro Russian areas of Ukraine were getting good money and relations by being close to Russia. For Ukraine their borders unfortunately put a large Russian minority in their area.

This was was inevitable because simply put Ukraine is on the way to several geographical gaps. They have Crimea in the Easter and the Carpathian range in the west. Russia wanted to take over Ukraine or ensure it was solidly under it's sphere for a long time.

You have Eastern Europe/Vizegrad group and NATO which want to keep the Russians out and G the Germans down. So far this war in Ukraine seems like it will end with pushing the Russians out and the Germans become irrelevant.

It's impossible to discuss this when only one person is sincere.

- ideally, full territorial integrity restored, Russian troops all inside their borders; if Ukraine decides it can let go of Crimea for peace, so be it. Just to be clear, if Ukraine decides to let go of Donbas too, I'll be salty, but it's their choice.
Secondary:
- peace treaty signed; if Ukraine territorial integrity is restored in full, it's a MUST that minority rights are discussed for Russians and respected under supervision.
- if only cease fire, Russia still aggressive/seething/rearming - hoping for a coup/revolution at Kremlin
Tertiary
- there should be no NATO direct conflict with Russia, no escalation
- Russian territorial integrity must be respected (on old borders)
- if Ukraine regains its lands, it must sign some sort of neutrality treaty so Russia is no longer feeling threatened
- if tensions remain high, international peace keeping, hopefully with Iranians and Chinese too for obvious reasons, must be stationed on the Donbas/Russia border
