Oh, its even worse that: random twitter people will replace them. The last throw down with FTX (which Elon has been encourging) has shown that random twitter people are doing a better job investigating and reporting then so called "professional" journalist.

Not all saboteurs make themselves known right away. I have no doubt there were plenty of slightly-smarter-than-the-rest libtards there who kept their heads down and their mouths shut preceding the first round of layoffs and waited until the coast seemed clear to start trying to screw with things under the hood. I get the distinct impression the list of names for the second round started getting built in earnest following the code freeze and repo lockdowns.

Even if you don't really know a codebase or understand how it works, it's not hard to skim through recent commits looking for stuff that would obviously break shit. And each commit handily has a user account associated with it...

See I enjoy that, but what I REALLY love is whenever Null says something completely wrong and gets called a massive faggot by users here. Not only do I love watching jannies get their shit pushed in, he still takes the insults like a man and doesn't sperg out and ban everyone.

Honestly it just adds to the wonderful tyre fire. If Twitter goes down in flames then that'd be funny, if Twitter gets better that's also a good timeline. The only way in which we could all collectively 'lose' is if for some reason or other Twitter just gets boring, but for the most part Twitter was boring for the past 10ish years because it was pozzed.

The thing that would kill Twitter is your feed being filled with unskippable corporate 'suggested follows' and integrated adverts that can't be blocked. But I don't think Twitter is willing to risk it after the whole tumblr shitstorm where you'd have an advertisement sandwiched between a gaping asshole picture and some gif of some emo lardarse trying to slash their wrists.

The wailing and teeth gnashing is over the fact Twitter is no longer a place they can shit on opposing right wing opinion with STRAIGHT FAX, and get moderation to ban them if they continue to fight.

At this point balkinization of the twitter community into twitter clones is pretty much the only way to fix it.
