The amount of money I had to pay to be insured just to operate perfectly safe medical devices with tons of research backing them, for which I had multiple years of training to use, having few to no side effects, that never harmed, disabled or killed anyone, that were used on patients under physician supervision, was  outrageous. I can't believe she is not required to be insured and that Florida lets her do surgery in an office building.

I also can't believe that the troon who consulted a lawyer wouldn't take the case any further because she didn't want to criticize the very idea of transition surgeries. It's fucking amazing how dedicated to the cult they can be.

You can use your silence on the matter as a very powerful bargaining chip when negotiating a settlement. Plastic surgeons in florida who aren’t paying insurance premiums are making $500k+ per year and even though the damages cap florida used to have was struck down as unconstitutional, judgements for malpractice are usually a couple million at most for extreme negligence leading to death, which wouldn’t necessarily bankrupt this woman if she has managed her finances well. I doubt Mexico will be the next place because she doesn't need to go to that extreme: California and New York are not going to restrict gender surgeries anytime soon and Sneed will have a niche no matter where she moves because taking patients as young as 13 makes her unusual if not unique among SRS quack butchers. Now that I think about it, coastal California would be a great fit because she wouldn't have to change anything about her "cool doctor in a trendy, picturesque location" brand if she moved out there. The only downside I can see is the higher cost of living + stricter malpractice rules, but Sneed's clearly making plenty of money and the Florida law is going to take away a decent sized chunk of her patient base (just writing that made me feel really gross).

Rylan also admitted on Twitter to smoking weed (or at least eating edibles) shortly after surgery, even though she was supposed to wait 4-6 weeks. That alone seems like it would be enough to fuck up any malpractice case, even if all the other barriers were somehow removed. Gallagher could just argue that Rylan wasn't following post-surgical instructions, consumed something that could affect her circulation, and didn't tell her surgeon.

I have zero legal knowledge, but maybe something in that paperwork contributed to why she is being blown off by lawyers now, and not just Sneed's lack of malpractice insurance?

“Dr” Gallagher is a massive piece of shit, and I truly hope that she faces massive financial, legal, and social consequences for all the harm that she’s caused.
