This is insane that she has no malpractice and that its allowed. I'm required to work to at least have personal liability insurance working with clients and i'm just doing tard wrangling via behavioral therapy.

Well, she went to Gallagher to get her teets yeeted and it’s a horror show. She chose Gallagher because she has no BMI limit for surgery, and doesn’t use drains, which apparently “prevents swelling”.
WELL.

It’s a long, long thread, so those are some of the terrible highlights. Still finds time to hate on TERFs saying “Well if this isn’t the consequences of gender ideology preying on mixed up heterosexual females”.

Seriously... The amount of money I had to pay to be insured just to operate perfectly safe medical devices with tons of research backing them, for which I had multiple years of training to use, having few to no side effects, that never harmed, disabled or killed anyone, that were used on patients under physician supervision, was outrageous. I can't believe she is not required to be insured and that Florida lets her do surgery in an office building. This is insane that she has no malpractice and that its allowed. I'm required to work to at least have personal liability insurance working with clients and i'm just doing tard wrangling via behavioral therapy.
That's the Irish language for you.Popping over from Community Happenings to say that I'm stuck on the doctor's first name. Everything about the spelling begs me to pronounce it "SHIV," and that just makes everything worse.

Funnily enough cutting off your obese tits is a great way to lose some extra pounds.View attachment 3886746
I love this response: justice for fat trans men! Poor surgical outcomes have nothing to do with being morbidly obese!
As for cutting your tits off being life saving healthcare, fucking hell…
I doubt Mexico will be the next place because she doesn't need to go to that extreme: California and New York are not going to restrict gender surgeries anytime soon and Sneed will have a niche no matter where she moves because taking patients as young as 13 makes her unusual if not unique among SRS quack butchers. Now that I think about it, coastal California would be a great fit because she wouldn't have to change anything about her "cool doctor in a trendy, picturesque location" brand if she moved out there. The only downside I can see is the higher cost of living + stricter malpractice rules, but Sneed's clearly making plenty of money and the Florida law is going to take away a decent sized chunk of her patient base (just writing that made me feel really gross).Sidbee. Sidbee Treeeeeeeeza Gallagher. Hopefully she’ll be encouraged out of Florida with the new legislation against tranny surgeries for kids there, and take up permanent residence in Mexico. At least people will think twice at having to use a shady surgeon based in Mexico? Rainbow me, troons will go to anyone that goes along with their delusions, it’s why Sidbee is so popular.
Bet she got plenty of advice from other resources about the dangers of surgery while obese and brushed them off. I don't think she'd be able to sue for mal even if it was an option when she willfully ignored all warnings. Maybe the rotting and shit would be handwaved away as expected complications idk.
Gallagher is kind of fascinating to me. She's a misanthropic psychopath able to practice openly due to the social climate and will probably never face justice, just like the other quacks. All the gnashing that she's a butcher, well if I was a guro lunatic that wanted to get paid to perform experimental surgery until I got bored halfway, I'd be fucking ecstatic about the troon epidemic. I get to lie and hurt people AND get positive attention? How would I hold all those cakes?
“Dr” Gallagher is a massive piece of shit, and I truly hope that she faces massive financial, legal, and social consequences for all the harm that she’s caused. I can guarantee that in five years we will have a Dr. Death style dateline special that will cause much hand wringing and questions of “how the fuck did we get to this point?” and I hope everyone who’s enabled her and her colleagues is held accountable as well.Someone in the SRS thread pointed out that the wound dehiscence that caused Rylan's infection is far more common in obese patients. There's a reason there are BMI limits on surgeries! And none of these idiots ever catch on that the type of surgeon who is careless enough to ignore BMI limits is going to ignore other things as well, like massive infections.
These people live in a world of magical cult thinking in which any limits imposed by physical existence are purely the result of anti-trans bigotry and fatphobia.
I mentioned this in the Sideshows thread, but Rylan has a pre-surgery tweet about signing "a mountain of paperwork":

I have zero legal knowledge, but maybe something in that paperwork contributed to why she is being blown off by lawyers now, and not just Sneed's lack of malpractice insurance?
They always have the same answer: There are no risks of being obese, none at all, except for fatphobia. The only reason that fat people have worse surgical outcomes is that doctors and nurses hate them and give them substandard care due to prejudice. Everything will come down to this.If you are so smart and ~informed~, why did you pick a doctor that has such a bad track record? Why did you shrug off universally known information about the risks of being obese while getting this type of surgery? If you’re so much better, why didn’t you question the lack of drains in your aftercare plan?
That is HILARIOUS. "I'm extremely obese, and it's SO UNFAIR!!! that my life choices have medical implications and consequences!"Another Gallagher patient claims that an anesthesia error made her wake up during surgery:

Apparently Gallagher had to "convince" the anesthesiologist to operate despite the anesthesiologist being uncomfortable with the patient's high BMI, which was almost certainly the cause of the accident (I imagine he didn't have sufficient experience with morbidly obese patients):

Absolutely horrifying. Apparently she also had would dehiscence afterwards as well, and was also brushed off.
But this sort of clusterfuck seems inevitable once a group of people have convinced themselves that doctors who refuse to operate on morbidly obese patients are simply fatphobic. Thanks to the fat-acceptance propaganda, they don't see upper BMI limits as a sign of a surgeon being sensible and cautious, they see it as a sign of bigotry. Which, in turn, means that they fail to see the obvious warning signs around a surgeon who will operate on the morbidly obese.
Not to mention Rylan admits to not contacting her after the first “looks great, hon!”Complications from a risky surgery are not malpractice. No one is taking this girl’s case.
Miami was/is the plastic surgery capital of the world because of business friendly practices like letting doctors practice without malpractice insurance. It’s not a weird accident she’s yeetin teets in the least trans friendly state. It’s the state where she’s least likely to ever be sued.
