The whole Sgt. Viddler part of this shit show doesn't make sense. He gets fired for supposed abuse of power for the way he treated Dewitte, who was wearing a pepper ball gun on his hip during the stop in question, which is not immediately distinguishable from a real gun while holstered. And it was on the hip of someone who is arguably a dangerous menace.

Then Viddler claims in this whistleblower lawsuit that he was building a RICO case against Dewitte but his bosses shut it down. Why? Why would they want to protect the most annoying police impersonating sperg in history?

And where did the idea that Viddler wants to start his own funeral escort business come from? Yeah I know, Florida cop and everything, but really? A 30-year LE veteran wants to escort funerals instead of collecting his pension and laying the on the beach? Come the fuck on. What am I missing?

Supposedly there is evidence of him getting an LLC to start his own escort funeral company. While DeWitt is a complete shithead, I think there is some merit that Viddler went past the power he had to really fuck with DeWitte. Also, him trying to start the escort funeral company around the same time is a bad look.

The secondary market for either current or former police officers/LEO is massive and the money is outrageous. For example, you can put lights on your car and just watch construction workers for 50+ plus an hour as a current LEO to make sure people don't run them over and shit.

Edit: I forgot to mention, the pepperball gun incident is not the first interaction they had, they had met each other quite a few times. You can see videos with other interactions. He might even been present when other "officers" got arrested for not having concealed carry permits. They then used some of these charges if I remember correctly for them to flip on DeWitte in regards to deleting body cam footage.

My personal gut feeling is that Viddler was fucking with DeWitte because he is a scumbag. The problem is he is a cop and probably took it a little too far and gave DeWitte's accusations just enough merit that they shit canned him to save face/ avoid a lawsuit.

If I am off, someone correct me, I used to follow DeWitte like crazy but then everything went silent and I stopped.

It varies from person to person, obviously, but generally I would agree with the other poster who said many of these people use it as a sort of power trip. They want to use it to control people, or just to make themselves feel in control.

There are other reasons though, mental illness and delusional thinking might be one, it may be a case of someone wanting the feeling of being admired without doing the work. Intermix this with someone who enjoys thrill seeking and is a pathological liar too.

Jeremy DeWitte is probably a little of column A, B and C.

It's clear in his interactions he enjoys wielding power over others, he likes bossing people around and barking orders.

Him saying he jumped at Fallujah would indicate wanting to have people admire him as this confers nothing in terms of granting him personal authority.

Its hard to say exactly what is wrong with Jeremy, mental illness, personality disorder, delusional... All of the above? There is something that doesn't tick right in his head though, and I think that's part of why he does this.

Additionally, he's a thrill seeker, noone drives at the speed and in the manner he does without that being part of their make up.

DeWitte first impersonated a police officer before he was 18 as a police explorer. He didn't have the money to pay for gas, used some bullshit identification and said he would come back and pay. Never did and he was arrested.

Did DeWitte get a settlement from that exchange? He does seem like the kind of guy to milk being a victim until getting a settlement to get him off their backs.

Many police impersonators want respect and power that they have not earned. They view police officers as little mobile dictators running free in the wild to make peoples' lives a living hell. They do not view police officers as public servants. They want the attention and admiration without any of the actual legitimate hard work. In Jeremy's case, he has at least one felony conviction on his record that would automatically disqualify him from being employed in law enforcement in Florida.

People don't realize that 90% of being a cop is dealing with domestic disputes. Standing around while a girl packs her shit up and leaves her ex-bf's apartment, drunk couple that got in a fight and then made up before the cops arrive both yelling at them for responding to a 911 call, etc. The fun cool cop stuff is like, once or twice a year and 90% of the time you're just babysitting angry strung out adult morons.

Vidler and Ramsay were both assigned to Jeremy by their captain, any calls about him were sent to those 2. I think the real point is that the pepperball is expressly meant to deceive the general public into thinking Jeremy is a legitimate cop, and Jeremy knows this. He's pissing on our foot and telling us it's raining. Though not technically illegal, it probably set Vidler off. Honestly, I think the video is so hilarious, (nothing is so gratifying as seeing Jeremy get busted, handcuffed on his ass barking "SARGENT SARGENT SARGENT" like a seal over and over again) that it's almost worth Vidler getting fired.

That's one of the reasons I find Jeremy so incalculably stupid, personally. Having spent a good amount of time in Orlando, enough to recognize a lot of the locations these videos are filmed in, it is surprising that he hasn't been shot. It's just a matter of time if he keeps tear-assing around town, clocking 100 in a 30, pounding on cars and screaming at people, someone is going to waste this guy.
