He was finishing up cases until 2020 at least... And small town criminal stuff, so moderate volume, low pay (comparatively). If he needed to just make a living it wouldn't be hard for him to start back up. There are always drug charges going around. I'd guess if being a internet show host died out he'd go back to lawyering after a year or so of losing money streaming (whether he needed to or not, trust fund parents like to see you trying).
He could go back and he'd probably be fine but would you hire a lawyer who posted an image of a bottle up his ass? I wouldn't. That's the problem with being an Internet person, the longer your in this game harder it becomes to be a normal person when you've had enough. But those crime show dramas have them at trials all the time! Seriously though, it's surpising to me how many people don't realize how much pleas play a role in our criminal justice system. If prosecutors are as lazy in Spicer as they are where Im from, it's no surprise that over his few years of solely practicing that he never had to go to trial. Most people are MORE than happy to just not get jail time for obvious reasons, and you still get paid so it's a win-win
One of my biggest regrets in life is that i was the guy who moved my group of friends from IRC to discord. When it first came out it was so flashy and had a ton of features you had to do with bots. Matrix is not really usable and getting people back to IRC just isn't happening.

The thing with Discord, or any service, is that you really can only use it with people you trust. If it's open to the public (and yes, that includes the case of "subscribers only" since anyone can be a subscriber) then it will invariably be overrun with coomers. Perhaps some day it will be possible to spot coomers, troons, and other degenerate filth and spam-filter them decisively, but for the moment that's not possible, jannies are ineffective, and hence no chat can ever operate successfully outside of a closed, trusted group of individuals. That more or less means a group that can't grow beyond Dunbar's Number (i.e. roughly 150 tops).... beyond that, degeneracy awaits.
