General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

what was your rrat?
That whatever issue it was,was solved pretty quickly, the fact that Magni was even allowed to even say his status (aka not yeeted yet) is a proof of that, Cover get very very anal with Holomems talking about the situation of suspended talents

Wait, i remember you, were you not the guy that predicted Randon was going to become Vesper?

Edit: Unity glow in the horizon with Ollie collabing with one of the Sony girls

I think Vesper's just using this as an excuse to take a two week long vaca. LOL. And I wouldn't blame him.
unlikely, he explained in the week before this happened that he'd already told his family he wasn't going to be home for thanksgiving and that they instead insisted he would just have to come home for Christmas/New Year (and even that he didn't sound super thrilled about lol) saying that when he goes home he'll just have to find a way to stream from confinement.

Add onto that the fact he was already getting anxious about taking time off for being sick before the off collab week and the off collab week as well throwing off his schedule, most of what he was saying leading up to all of this would strongly imply he was not in any way planning on not being around for 2 weeks.

He also got nuked without a word of warning, he was active like a hour before he eated the suspension so maybe plans changed

suspension is still pretty severe. at least yagoo still modeling the boys merch though.

i dont think i publicly predicted that. i was a fan of randon before he was a holostar though. my predictions before debut was actually:

Magni: Randon
Regis: Hanbyeol
Vesper: Professor Lando
Axel: Aruvn

Suspensions have happened in Hololive for less, even the cashcows are not immune to them, like Marine and Flare eated one iirc because they joked about a lame ass BL doujin and the author got butty blasted on Twitter, suspensions normally happen for investigations (like it happened with Rushia) or to wait until shit blows out to make a safe comeback (Coco,Marine,Flare)

The case of Vesper is very unique because the thing that triggered the suspension happened off stream, a first in Cover, all the other cases happened live

Edit: for clarity i mean first suspension that happened for off stream causes, Kaoru did not get suspended , his contract got terminated without a suspension

2 weeks is a long time though. and correct me if im wrong but i think this is the first time cover has directly put blame on the talent. either way the way his gen mates are acting, it doesnt seem like it was an offense that would damage his character.

also off topic, question for anyone that knows, im just curious: for hololive's 3D tech, do they wear mocap suits? or is it all tracked by the camera?

When Flare and Marine they did put the blame on them saying that they were getting suspended to reflect in their declarations and to mend the hurt feefees of the mangaka (fuck that asshole), the thing that most people, even PR pros are asking is, why the heck are you announcing a INTERNAL AFFAIR to the public? how Cover that love to be triple vague about everything made public that they were punishing him for things that no one knows? the correct way was jut to force him to eat the suspension passing it as a hiatus instead of flagellating him on the company twitter account

Home3D the ones that you see on their normal stream use cameras and recently those VIVE motion capture thingies forgot the name, they CAN use mocap but they rarely do because the equipment is expensive, the ones that you see on lives use MoCaps (Source: Moona complaining about not wanting to buy the suit because is expensive and Calli complaining she is to fat her tits are to big to use the mocaps suits that were in Ame studio)

If you want to see why mocap is inviable for vtubing just check how much Code Miko rig costs

im in the camp of: corporate transparency good. however, the way the statement was released it does makes it seem like they are trying make an example out of him.

It's really not even that complicated

They weren't going to play it as a hiatus, as we just discussed the surrounding circumstances made it too clear that wasn't the case.

People are going to start asking for answers and trying to decide what in his stream got him bonked so they say up front "this is an internal matter" meaning there's nothing for folks to dig for, you give people enough info to placate them and not leave them wondering why he suddenly unannounced vanishes for 2 weeks. some people are gonna rrat and be melodramatic about it but that's always gonna happen even this notion that he was "flagellated" on their twitter is really dramatizing what was just a cut and dry announcement.

They announced the "INTERNAL AFFAIR" to the public because it was going to be affecting the public having him forced off the grid for 2 weeks, they didn't give detail because the specifics are irrelevant to the public, the only publicly relevant information was he was being put on suspension for 2 weeks.
im in the camp of: corporate transparency good. however, the way the statement was released it does makes it seem like they are trying make an example out of him.
make an example out of him to whom though, like even if one assumes this to be true, the only people this would send a message to would be other talents, and they would get that memo regardless of how a tweet is framed. the tweet is vague enough to not know precisely what he did so the only people internally who would "get the message" of them making an example of him would be the members that take the time to look into or ask what he got suspended for (if they'll even disclose that internally to other talents) and that would be true no matter how the announcement was phrased.

If it was meant to "make an example of him" it did so ineffectively enough that I can't really assume it was the intention.

On the whole this situation is a pretty run of the mill corporate wrist slap, 2 weeks might seem long but remember Nijisanji's liver downloaded some porn and got sent to the cuck shed for a month and a half. 2 weeks is really not that long.

It was Marine and Miko and they weren't officially suspended, they made the decision to take a week long hiatus themselves, asking everyone to calm the fuck down and not have an internet sperg war over it.
They were also allowed to make the announcement themselves and explain the reasons which I think is a lot better than a corporate vaguepost.
If Vesper had a 5 minute announcement stream to say "I dared management to bonk me and....they bonked me haha, I'll see you in 2 weeks, sorry" there would be very little to this drama.

who the fuck is hoshino chae?
She's a chuuba whose character is Char Aznable from Gundam as a girl

Pretty sure the break for the porn shit was voluntary. I remember seeing somewhere that he decided he was going to go on a break to "reflect on his actions" and that the company was not forcing him to.

Vesper is a super menhera - who gets suspended a few months in? The big difference is instead of spiraling off on Twitter or over over-sharing on stream he'll continue to internalize like if Fraiser was a vtuber. Don't turn off the superchats and stop hiding stuff or they are gonna make you install remote software Vesper.

Dude, link to the stream or name the vtuber? Here it is: link
Ollie is collabing with Syusetu Kohaku.
They are participating in the Koha Cup - here is the team list. I am assuming that it's a comp put on by Sony - here is a better list of details.
More interesting is the third in Ollie's team hasn't been live in like 5 months.
No VSPO girls, Neo-Porte or NoriPro - didn't see any 774 girls either but let me know. This reminds me less of the CR cup/Hal customs and more like the EA Anniversary tournament where teams were mis-matched and Choco and Roboco spent the entire time chatting/watching.
I lied - Neo-Porte is there

I thought this was the spider for a second as well.

Team 02 with RPR and Axel+Altare or Team 07 look like favorites but I know shit
No idea about most of the others - but Maria, Aster and Ren are gonna be a feeder team
Should be fun

It's called the Koha Cup because Kohaku's the one hosting it. That's also why the teams are like that - most of the participants are folks from Kohaku's social circle, like dtto-chan and Selen. Definitely looks like it's more of a for-fun tournament than a competitive one, though.

The third girl in Ollie's team streams frequently, but she does it on Twitch and only seems to use Youtube for karaoke.

Do I have to add VEE to the cabal of the laughing dragon now?

It was Marine and Miko and they weren't officially suspended
Why the hell did I say flare but yeah that thing was 50% bonked and 50% cover calming the autistics that wanted to murder the guy

Ahh, thanks - she has some non-vtubers in the mix too. I see more and more Japanese streamers on twitch, wonder why other then double exposure.

Korone Birthday Live soon

With Sakana moderating more and more their talents recently, I believe that in the next weeks we will see a big shift in how tenma do her streams, where she will not be able to stream horror games anymore and having a more tight schedule, unlike the ones where she do guerrilas every 4 hours
