I'm currently rewatching Arrested Development and holy shit, I don't understand why I keep forgetting how funny it is. It's honestly one of the greatest shows ever made and deserves its own thread. Also, the good news is that season 5 will premiere sometime this year, so I'd like to have a thread ready for when that happens.

Which character do you love the most? I've gotta go with Gob, but Lucille is an extremely close second. Franklin alone is enough to justify Gob as #1 for me.

And I love Lucille because... well, who else can perfectly display what I'm feeling when I read about the people featured on this forum?

What's so great about Gob is that he easily could have been the most annoying and unlikable character in the show, but Will Arnett plays him in the most perfect way possible so he winds up being the best character.

Tobias because he's just so ludicrously pathetic and incompetent. Buster is a close second. They're both lolcows. Most everyone in the show is a lolcow except Michael as the one sane man.

Yep, I mentioned that in the OP! No exact release date has been announced, but people are speculating that it will probably be in the fall.

I liked season 4 more than some people, but I agree with @John Titor in that I'd like to see the regular narrative style come back. It was awesome seeing how season 4 fit together like a puzzle, but I think if they do it again with season 5 it will lose its charm.

Also, season 5 better fucking have another scene like these or I will riot. We need more of Gob's banners.

Michael only loses his mind because he has to deal with all the idiots in his family.

His baseline state is pretty sane. That's why he's the protagonist and audience surrogate.

In an interview, Jason Bateman said that he thinks Michael is probably the most craziest of the family.
