My call for this year is Autism Compatibility (including through hashtags
#AutismCompatibilityStatement #CaterForAutism #DriveAutismAwareness ), including requiring the use of the Autism Compatibility Statement on certain items such as legislation or regulation, and Public Service Announcements/Community Awareness Campaigns - as I said elsewhere, I will not neogitiate or compromise with policies pertaining to the Autism Compatibility Statement.
I dressed in blue for the day, including a blue tint (not attention seeking) with hairspray which can easily be washed out, and encouraged my younger sister who was born on April 2 to do the same.
Initially, I was not very open about stating that I have autism (other than filling out medical forms for appointments etc.), but one recent event prompted me to be a bit more open about having autism.
My message is simple: please treat all people who (may) have autism with sensitivity and understanding - although Wikipedia has autism indicator options for a particular member who wishes to use it, other online platforms such as Facebook do not implement it; at least you can say "AUTISM COMPATIBILITY REQUESTED" in your automatically generated tagline at the footer of your post if this feature is available.
And here is my YouTube video containing this simple message:
