If I had to guess, I would say the game intends to be like Mass Effect 2.
Fang and his buddies are struggling with angsty, queer teen issues. Fang gallantly takes it upon herself to help everybody. She has to be extra super special nice to everyone and help them get over their bullshit. Sometimes two characters may have opposite views and fight, which Fang can sort out. The good ending is the gang agreeing to quit bitching, Fang realizing how important her friends are yada yada yada. The asteroid misses the planet, as it represents their problems. The bad ending happens, if she fails to appease her friends, so everyone ends up miserable and the asteroids hits. Other endings are something in-between, the asteroid either hits, or misses, depending on how many of the group stayed together.

So in other words. The asteroid is sentient, sees how gay fang and the gang are, and fucks off wanting nothing to do with that gay shit?

Let's not even get into the high bar of Dragon's Lair and that's since it was released it's gotten ports every console generation, including this current one. You have a high fucking bar to clear if you don the mantle of interactive cartoon.

One could argue rail shooters are also interactive cartoons you shoot at.

Then you have other interactive cartoons in the same vein as Dragon's Lair, such as the Lupin the third game that was frankensteined from a few of the movies and given the name. " Cliff Hanger".

Even the lower bars for "interactive cartoon" is still too high for what ever GBVH will end up as.

Tim Schafer couldn't even shake that notion that many of his later games were just TV shows with gameplay as a mere window dressing. Hell this is what bankrupted other developers like like Telltale.

Because that requires far far more effort then we can expect from what we have already seen.

I am just saying it slightly more effort then what we can already expect from GBVH. It's a very very very low bar I know, and GBVH likely wont pass it.

Because making a TV show would take slightly more effort. I’m now convinced that explains all these games with no real gameplay: the devs are too lazy to make TV shows and lack the talent to make gameplay. It’s the worst of both worlds

Best part about the trailer is how they linger on "sing" and then some lady starts indie singing, which will probably be how Fang sounds in the game, because she's a woman and everyone who hears her even in-universe will think "oh, she sounds nice," because non-binary isn't real.

How disingenuous do you have to be to write this. They won't let players fundamentally reassert Fang's femininity or change her worldview for the better because that's Snoot Game's territory. They also won't let players let Fang become anything negative because people might take joy in destroying a fart-sniffing they/them. What a joke.


The fact that Steam and Discord are both open for business again leads me to think they were told by somebody that you fucking need engagement to successfully launch a product, and even negative engagement is often beneficial. Some marketing professional kicked all their asses and said suck it up and deal with it. You don't have to embrace Snoot Game, but you have to seethe and cope and let people talk, or else everyone will see your Steam/Discord/Reddit/Twitter presence as a wasteland.

At this rate, I'm thinking the developers are waiting for an asteroid to hit Earth again, so they don't have to release this dumpster fire.
Somehow I have the feeling all those mechanics showcased in the trailer are not actually implemented in the game yet, this is just what they call a "vertical slice" in the biz. I wonder how long Sony is going to put up with their bullshit, if they even remember the existence of this game.

The trailer is manufactured as fuck is the impression I get. This is their proof of concept but won't likely be nearly as fluid (if it even comes out)

Two things.

1. Snoot Game did a VN better than they did AND faster so they are scrambling to add features that were never planned (and probably have no fucking idea how to implement) to stand out. So Snoot game probably made their train leave the tracks hard in some way even if they never admit it.

2. I've started playing Snoot Game recently and gone through the "blow at Anon for calling her a she" scene and it's double hillarious with that discord warning.

This game is a prime example, showing that you can only write yourself in a corner, if you adopt woke ideology. There is no place for nuance and ambiguity. I cannot even think of what the good ending might be in Goodbye Volcano High.

Pokemon Clover, it is a Pokemon Fire Red romhack, it has an above average difficulty, a completely new region and pokedex, lots of politically incorrect humor, it doesn't rely too much on HMs, and the shitties HMs were modified into actually useful moves (i.e. cut is pretty much the grass equivalent to slash), i only played the beta version a few years ago, but i think back in 2020 the full version was released. That romhack was so well made it feels more like it's own game, a better game than any official Gen 3 or Gen 4 game.
