Speaking of military aircraft, the next generation B-21 Raider is being revealed today.
That sure is something

I will say, the B-21 seems to have had a relatively untroubled development so far. That is in comparison to the more recent aerial acquisitions programs such as the clusterfucks that were/are the V-22, F-35, or the CH-53K. From what I have heard through the grape-vine, the B-21 program seems to be using traditional and effective engineering regime, not whatever the fuck the Nu-Concurrent Engineering regimes used in the building of the Ford Class and all this other shit was/is. So that is promising.

All that said, this aircraft has not yet even had its first flight. That won't happen for many months, deep next year is likely. At the earliest, it won't deploy until towards the end of the decade. This is not a publicly revealed a few months before bombing Panama situation like with the F-117.

Now that it is moving to flight testing, and final prototyping, it will be interesting to see if this devolves into a shit-show too, or if it bucks the trend.

I like the white paint jobs on prototypes now.

Looks like it has canards. This bad boy is clearly built for agility and looks to be more of a successor to the f-22 then anything, though with its own squadron of drone wingmen. Air-to-air combat in the 2030s-50s is gonna be very video gamey methinks.

It does have canards and it explicitly is an F22 replacement. I hope it’s a twin seater, or the whole drone control aspect will be difficult.

I think the plan in GCAP (the bong/jap/wop project plane) is to have advanced auto pilot control the fighter while the fighter pilot assigns duties to the drones.

But they also say they're going to put directed energy weapons on the thing so who fuckin' knows, they'll have it make you dinner, suck your dick and tuck you into bed if they can get some more investor nations.

i made a stealth fighter in ksp

well, it only has room for 3 missiles internally, couldnt cram any more retractable hardpoints without fucking it up

Fuckin eye-ranians managed to shoot down an F-15E. Unfortunate, especially when Drumpf claims total air superiority over Iran, but not completely unexpected. It's a mighty plane both offensively and defensively, but it's not invisible nor indestructable. Some times, some things will get through. One crew recovered so far, the other is still being looked for by both sides.
