Are things just slow around here regarding lolcows and lolcow based activity right now, or is it just me?

It should be common sense that right now the lot of you are either doing stuff regarding the winter holiday season, but the last month or so seems a lot slower than any other past year on this site.

I'm sure it has to do with what went down in August (2022 for reference), and that because of mainstream exposure everyone's clutching to their pearls in regards of getting "hacked" and having "raids" sent to their houses regardless of dogs and proxies, but even in terms of Christchurch and such it's never usually slowed down. Is it feds too? Is it because Twitter's flock are running for the hills like Sodom and Gomorrah? I wouldn't know, but it's a curious current topic.

Well, I'll be in and out, touching grass/snow and all of that.

Virtually everyone with a thread seems to be in the stagnation phase of their career, other forums keep disappearing, even forums like that one for incels is gone. Twitter is currently in pandemonium, and tbh the twitter threads that are only posting some retard's endless hot takes are some of the worst anyways. If I wanted to read Twitter I'd go read Twitter. Sites like Twitch seem to be having problems, although I can't say that for certain.
Even a guy like DSP has settled into a very comfortable routine where there isn't that much to talk about. Metokur is literally dying. The trans rights movement seems to be flagging somewhat.

The internet is becoming a gay homogenized mush of listless corporate centralization. At this point KF itself is as much the content as anything else.

I think a perfect storm of factors have made activity drop some. It happens. Old cows disappear or die off. New ones are born. Birth rates are down because twitter shitting itself and the site getting all the campaign attention have made people more cautious on average with what they post and reveal online.

There will always be cows though, because so many people are simply monumentally stupid and desperate for attention.

Site traffic is definitely down since #DropKiwiFarms. It used to be 5000-6000 active users (both lurkers and logged in accounts) any time I was logged in before the campaign.
I suspect part of this decline was due all the people who got locked out of their accounts during the password reset and when new registrations were disabled following the hack. #DropKiwiFarms predicted that KF would lose 75% of users because of that. It was more like 50% but still a good chunk. #DropKiwiFarms knew that KF had lost a number of its users during the previous hack&leak, so that was their intent with the hack: to scare people away.

There has also been a continuing FUD campaign on Twatter itself, with many active #DropKiwiFarms making it seem like LE is on the verge of cracking down on KF, arresting Joshua Moon, arresting KF users. Keffals openly threatened to get young KFers kicked out of school for participating here and personally targeted and failfoxxed a young KF. This coupled with all the open threats from #DropKiwiFarms to target KFers IRL, open threats which continue to this day (this was the most recent one I archived):



Understandably, all these continued threats levelled at KFers have made some of them reluctant to return to the site. Which is exactly what #DropKiwiFarms set out to achieve.
