Winter is a time where it's harder to go outside. Southern lolcows may still be active, but most are fat and hibernating until the very end of the year, where family drama and Christmas specials create fun dumb events. Then the New Year rolls around, and someone decides it is time for a change and reveals someone causing drama behind the scenes and people come home from vacations with retarded stories and renewed vigor.
For now, muh mentals for all cows are lowered, stress happens as those with jobs (both cows AND farmers) work twice as hard due to retail crunch/holiday work/weather, and we all take the time to focus off site a little. Once Christmas proper happens and we have more of a break, college assholes and few others will sign up and usually things pick up a little before relaxing a bit again mid January-February.
You also have to remember people don't realize the site is even alive. Literally, check any twitter thread and some people will be surprised we never left. There's only now members signing back up after the great reset too. Some won't come back because they realize they don't feel like being on anymore, and that's not a bad thing either, just humans moving on.
We'll probably have another great TERFening, nothing too radical has happened for women and troons right now. The more accessible spaces there are for normies, the better for now, so it's not a complete loss and they'll have tweet to tweet combat instead.
To be fair, there's always been a-logs. OrdonZedd outing himself as an oldfag who likes keffals was a good reminder that we always had serious business tards who trollshielded. I'd say Null takes his time banning people now and lets the autism thunderdome fester since it brings in some really bizarre people to argue and laugh at and arguing over people tardraging is one fun aspect of cowdom for some people.
That's the spirit.
Classic lolcows interest changes, even Chris changed when you think about it. So we'll get different patterns as people are raised throughout the years when you think about it.
