𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Federal agent Baked Alaska has been reinstated. I can only imagine the joy and optimism from the catboys over at America First. Maybe we'll finally get a part 2 to We Love Our McDonald's.

I'm surprised this whole debacle hasn't been given a "-gate" name yet. I would love for social media companies to be held to some standards of ethics.

This "multiple small posts" shit needs to stop. They could do a twitlonger or something to get all the info in one post for people to read. This is fucking attrocious for archival purposes.
Real shit why can't they do a regular webpage? What the fuck is the point of using tweets? Even with Musk, the people at Twitter are just perpetually fucking retarded. Should have gone the Square Enix route and fired the entire team.

Because if the deep state media ignore this for long enough, the mountain of useful idiots parroting "We all knew this was happening for 2 years now, shut up, it's good" will ensure fuck and all comes from this.

What the fuck is the point of using tweets?
Guy who buys internet platform insists that attention-grabbing material is posted on said platform. Bari Weiss said this was the only agreement she made to post the information she did.

It's not the ideal format, but of course Elon Musk is going to insist that the attention goes to the service he now owns. I don't get how people don't get that.

The same quote claims "a lot of manual moderation is needed because abuse is nuanced and contextual to offline", meaning they claim they put a lot of time and thought into their manual moderating (which means an actual person decides).
And that would mean they deliberately made the choice to keep distributing CP.
That also means the two people who have an open lawsuit with twitter because they've begged them FOR YEARS to remove child pornographic material OF THEMSELVES and were told "no we won't" and "impossible" had their concerns manually looked into, not by a bot.
If any of these people were in the states with mandatory reporting laws, they literally committed a crime.

I find it funny/sad that people actually think admins might not be able to read DMs.

Those types of messages used to be called PMs (private messages) on pretty much every site until a few years ago, when the term changed to DMs (direct messages) universally, nearly overnight, after it became known that on at least one platform, they could be read by staff.

What next, they start getting upset upon discovering that “the cloud” is actually just physical servers in data centers somewhere?

I swear, there’s something about social media platforms that renders people unable to understand the concept of content that doesn’t appear directly in a feed. I honestly believe one of the main reasons these platforms suck so bad is because people keep trying to use them for things they weren’t built for and are inherently terrible at.

Elon has Twitter sell off a bunch of left-over random shit.

Hell this looks more like a major restaurant chain shutting down than a tech company.

that's a lot of TVs on stands ....
Yeah, pretty much confirms Twitter offices were wasteful adult daycares, for shitlibs who wanted to experience champagne socialism.

Same, it's kind of insane how people are missing the obvious fucking point of Elon asking for the info to be first published on his own plataform. It's the most basic of marketing and business strategies.

I am convinced the entire Adult Daycare thing was also a ideological way to ensure loyalty, even if most of them might not have realized it consciously. It's a very Brave New World strategy by Twitter and Globohomo that proves Huxley, not Orwell, had the right idea about how the dictators of the future would use technology to control the masses.

Dunno how applicable it is nowadays with the vast majority of their employees working from home, but before the coof, the adult daycare shit is literally to trick people into voluntarily working longer hours.

Ah the Panama Papers technique.

See this? It is called a website. It is on the platform and has extended pages of nicely organized information to be read. Formatting, lists, hyperlinks, paragraphs, and lovely drop downs to fit even more information. This is a website. Tweets are not a good method of conveying information. All tweets do is drive clicks because you can only see a few at a time.

Stop being a zoomer faggot and condoning this web 2.0 bullshit. Tweets do not make me want to use Twitter, it makes me think not enough people were fired that they believe this is an acceptable way of conveying information.

All tweets do is drive clicks
Yes. That's literally the point. More clicks means more ad impressions, means more money for twitter. That's why Musk is insisting on them using tweets for their initial releases; it drives interaction with the site and brings in revenue. Stating this fact doesn't condone it.

Isn't that the the creepy pedo that draws furry babies based on children? Or do they all just literally look the same?
Sadly, it's option 2.

I was not predicting Musk was going to go so scorched earth on the past moderation team and Jack that he'd start implying they were a bunch of pedos.
I thought he had a bit of a rapport with jack. They were cooperating for a while, at any rate.

I thought he had a bit of a rapport with jack. They were cooperating for a while, at any rate.
They did seem to from some of the merger documents, but thanks to the Twitter files being released Jack has been acting a bit catty saying stuff like:
If the goal is transparency to build trust, why not just release everything without filter and let people judge for themselves? Including all discussions around current and future actions? Make everything public now. #TwitterFiles
The implication of course being that Musk is dishonestly just showing part of the story and that Jack/twitter weren't being nearly as bad as portrayed.

Problem is Musk is the one with the ability to shine a spotlight on Twitter's people and their actions, so Jack can't really do much when it's pointed out he had the "get kids on Grindr" guy working for him or how Twitter's higher ups were obsessing over how to ban people over jokes. I'm sure he'll try acting like he was a neutral party to everything that went on, but it still acts as a stain on Jack's reputation given he was the guy in charge of all this.
