Again, this was a while back and my memory on the details is not 100% but I've always been convinced that those messages were real because of all the things that happened and how Warski deleted the account so he wouldn't have to show evidence of them being fake.
Besides, with everything that is known about Warski at this point (especially his online relationships) it's not at all hard to believe that this would be true.
