Are things just slow around here regarding lolcows and lolcow based activity right now, or is it just me?

I'm going to complain about new cows all being either a political weirdo or a troon. There's so little variety in eccentric people who don't take criticism now.

There were lolcows before youtube. First one that comes to my mind is David Gonterman, a furfag obsessed with Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers. Was mostly active in the 90s.

I think more than anything, this is the cause for why a lot of new cows are disappointing and don't have much staying power. A gigantic percentage are pedo trannies who are essentially identical. And so many cows are directly rooted into Twitter slacktivism, pretty much always involving the Transgender Question in one way or another. Trannies are honestly more homogeneous and boring than Furries. And since almost all of these trannies are pedophiles, they're not fun to read about and instead of laughs, you just rage.

I think that's why the Patrick Tomlinson thread has exploded this year. His antics are hilarious, but more importantly, they're harmless. You go to his thread and laugh. The atmosphere is casual. You're not one pic away from seeing a medical disaster. He doesn't try to groom children. He's just a fat retard, like the Cows of Olde.

Most cows seem to be trooning out these days. They're pretty much all the same, with some stand out individuals obviously, and most of them are found on Twitter or Reddit. There are tons of potential cow material on TikTok, but it's more cringe than cow worthy tbh and even kids are making fun of them already. I feel like most of the entertainment comes from drama, which can get stale if it's the same shit over and over again.

Gone are the days of old Youtube when you could stumble upon goldmines. Now the autists are just dancing to chipmunk music on TikTok.

Activity surged when Chris was initially arrested, and then tapered down once the ILJ drama died. The CWC board was easily the most active on the entire forum, and when the CWC content was running a little dry, regulars from that board would contribute to others. There would always be more CWC to come back to.

Since Chris content has mostly been relegated to speculators or hypothetical conversation, except for the letters from jail, a lot of regular contributors have been seen less which has some impact on other threads. I’m sure the downtime and the database breach turned some folks off, but this shit loses its luster once your favorite cow has been put out to pasture.

Yeah, I thought things had slowed down. Either there's not much to talk about or everyone got lives. The second seems a little optimistic though.
 
This is just my experience but I've been too busy to bother getting on twatter for the Gibes and Tranch milk. I bet other people have better things to do as well and that's part of the reason things are slower.
