I think this was an important correction. I was quoting the phrase "tolerance and compassion," but modern usage has conflated tolerance with things like understanding. *Understanding* and compassion are warranted to understand things like the causes of ww2. Not everyone is deserving of understanding, though, especially not trannies or their allies.
