Mega Rad Gun Thread

Every indoor range I've ever been to has strikes in the ceiling baffles and I've honestly seen worse.
What boggles my mind is all the strikes in the floor.
I can only guess it's a product of practicing drawing from the holster/concealed and squeezing the trigger too soon.

Real talk: did Sig fix that drop discharge issue, or are the reports and lawsuits something entirely new? I heard they're being sued by a Massachusetts detective, and that Milwaukee PD said not to use them.

I also am struggling to find an impartial opinion on the matter. It's either the anti-gun media looking for red meat to pounce on, or Sig shills playing defense on their behalf. Some people are claiming they were due to using incompatible holsters or were negligent discharges.
They claim to have fixed it, but there are still lawsuits going on and now people are saying the guns are straight up going off in the holster without being dropped or touched. A bunch of police trade in 320s are already starting to pop up on the internet even.

They did and guns DO NOT just "go off" in a holster

99.9% of "muh gun went off by itself" stories are someone being a fucking retard and/or showing off.

Now some shit Taurus pistols can and did go off from being shaken really hard and malfunctioning guns sometimes fire out of battery and for DECADES the original Remington 700 could fire if the safety was being switched on or off.

How is it so far? Actually came here today to ask about that exact gun. I love my PX4 but I'm thinking pretty hard about another pistol, and the P320 looks pretty neat.
I have not shot it yet. I shot the range's identical rental, just to be sure I wanted to trade it in for my Glock. But it was better, so here I am.

Found a Holosun 510C for a good price. Don't really need it right now, but it's tempting considering the price, especially if I can find a riser for it to bring it up to 1.93".

Anyone wants to talk me out of buying it, or alternatively recommend a riser/mount?

What are your thoughts on revolvers for CCW? I own a pre lock S&W Model 36, in .38 Special that I pocket carry, and so far it's never been noticed, which is the part of the reason I bought it, it's form factor, the fact my area is low risk, and the simple fact that I just like it.

Younger me would have said, "lol fucking fudd".

Older, wiser me says if you can rock it and put it in the 10 ring at 10yds under stress, go for it.

I'd rather be called a Fudd than be either without a gun or with one I didn't like lol. It had been sitting in the used case for well over a year, the price was low, I had weighed the pros and cons of 38 special, and so in the end, I picked her up. She shoots straight, the mechaninaism is reliable despite going through some abuse in its life, and it's light enough that I barely notice it anymore.

It's their customers fault. Them and their accursed dremel.
That dang pin in the trigger group just did not want to come out, that's why I had to use a dremel and then a drill on it. Then I replaced the pin with a piece of nail. Should work fine, right?

...that's what I found inside a used Italian semi-auto shotgun previously owned by some bumpkin. Before you ask, yes, I replaced everything with original factory parts and it works just fine now.

It's just as depressing for 'gunsmiths' (most are barely armorers now) as it is for mechanics and my car, realizing I'm probably going to do a better job than either of them.

had to "undo" a scope mount on a Ruger Red Hawk... which was a beat up barely functional C-More that was on a 3/8 dovetail with bondo filling in between the mount itself (on the older C-More Railway typically the mount is integrated with the optic for the 3/8" mount) and the crooked and off center 1913 aluminum rail section that was JB Welded to the top strap of the revolver.

it was originally brought in for "cylinder problems" when a dot of JB Weld had caused excessive tightness on lock up.

i have many horrifying stories like this and it's never good. the guy that brought me a poorly converted (illegally mind you) Federal Arms cast aluminum G3 receiver to "fix" the cracked trunnion support, people wanting patchwork fixes for Hesse receivers that would involve completely milling the magazine well and FCS pocket again, the guy that managed to get a live 9mm stuck backwards in his MP5, the local PD had a shotgun that malfunctioned on the qualifying range and was filled completely with chewing gum...

H&K and backwards rounds: Name a more iconic duo.

Whatever floats your boat.

As my namesake says, the only person who can decide what gun is best for you is you. Only you know what you need it for, when and where you'll use it, how well you can use it, and so on.

That said, I would get a holster if I were you. I wouldn't wanna pocket-carry a revolver that didn't have a Hillary Hole.
