You know, I don't know if I'm the only one but this sounds like an "imminent threat to human life". Like, yeah, we all know that Twitter has been frequently home to revolting content. This alone, as we all know, shouldn't be grounds for the removal of Twitter as a site. Considering Musk's recent campaign to try to clean up the site. Feeling attacked, the rhetoric against Musk has escalated and in such cases we all know that legal process cannot be taken in such a short amount of time but perhaps the time is nearing to block it?

Maybe Elon can e-mail @Null for advice on how to handle a mob.

They were being deranged lunatics saying shit like: tracking your plane in real time is newsworthy so we are allowed to cover it, you should spend your billions to keep your family safe rather than banning people off Twitter... and other nonsense.

He said basically, you don't get special treatment just because you're journalists, doxing real time location info or linking to sites that are doing that will get you banned. Then he left without saying goodbye and they were sad they couldn't whine to him anymore.

Ironic how he went through the whole theater of showing off how Twitter deamplified the Hunter Biden story through mod tools and banning of links under the guise of a new policy, calling it a first amendment violation and censorship, meanwhile he's instructing his own staff to apply "heavy VF" to accounts that bother him personally and enacting that under new policy. Now he's just outright banning journos he doesn't like.

I thought the (express) point of the TwitterFiles was that Elon would do better than Yoel Roth and wouldn't utilize VF and other moderation tools to fuck with his opposition, but it looks like Elon's gonna keep his banhammer as partisan as Twitter's old staff did. At least he's open about it.

The thing is that none of them cared when an entire newspaper was suspended for posting about the Hunter Biden laptop. So if hackable materials or realtime doxing are going to be against the rules, they are going to be against the rules for e v e r y o n e. They cannot understand this. They simply cannot grasp that they are not special! I disagree with Elon's reasoning here, but I think what is most important is that rules are enforced fairly, no more of this backroom ability they have to twist arms and get their way. If you can cry about your safety being jeopardized when your name trends, Elon certainly gets that sauce too. Maybe you should have been paying attention.
