Trump is not going to make a serious 2024 run. His strategy is to rip off his shrinking yet increasingly devoted fanbase while pumping up his own chances so the DeSantis (or whoever) campaign writes him a yuge and bigly check for him to drop out and give his endorsement. Stop the Steal netted him $200 million, I bet he’s wanting tens of millions of dollars for an endorsement, with a stretch goal of Stop the Steal-type numbers. He’s going to be the bull in the China shop until he gets paid off. There will be plenty who will buy whatever Trump peddles. I no longer feel sorry for these people.
If he wanted real money he would have lost with dignity in 2020 like the GOP hoped he would. He would have been king of the GOPe and the media would have praised and reformed him. A few million dollars is nothing to him and it would be kill his legacy to sell out to the system.

You claim his fanbase is shirking yet he is the only GOP person who can get 20k+ people to show up to a rally and wait in line hours to do so. This is while it's raining. Only 2000 people showed up for DeSantis when they had a musical performance a week before the election. The town itself has a population of 200k. DeSantis isn't even a draw in Florida.

But let's believe the polling that has been wrong since 2016 and pushed by the media who wants the republicans to lose. I am sure the candidate they are forcing is the one that will this time. The same media was pushing polls in 2016 that said most republicans wanted Jeb Bush.

I haven't watched DeSantis do anything live lately. How many people in his crowd are wearing MAGA hats?

Ah, but why will the depression occur in 2030-2035? What did they do to kick the can down the road, and why can't anything be done to fix the problem before the collapse?

Reading all this vaguely makes me think of the Debt Market and a supposed inevitable collapse of it (which would destroy the Western economy overnight) but I don't know enough about it to remember it fully.
Last I heard about 2030 was that when the WEF would implement their vision for the world by putting theories into practice.

Everyone showed their ass on the Trump NFT.

Read the site, the NFT is essentially a raffle ticket. Buy 45 of them and you get a table at a political fundraiser, but each is still a chance at a set of prizes. You do get an NFT, but I think that's entirely about making everyone talk about it. Maybe, apparently, it's too stupid and people aren't paying attention, and the ridiculousness of it has the opposite effect of advertising the fundraiser, but that's still the angle here.

Damn, trading cards with a QR code would have been better, if a bit more expensive.

Well here is a video for everyone's amusement.

The "superpowers" of the future everyone. This looks like what would happen if you equipped a caveman with a camouflage uniform and helmet then told him to go to war. I imagine they were told by high command to do something like this so it doesn't get out of hand but still.

Trump making big announcement tomorrow, probably either a lawsuit against the government for being super faggots against him (since he has standing now thanks to the twitter files), or something involving the RNC, like supporting Dhillon.

Meanwhile Joepedo, filled with his lust for destroying innocence, is ignored by all the kids at a toy drive. Make sure those kids get home safe and weren't taken into the limo.

”Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire” is the worst song to have playing in the background while being ignored. It just adds to the sting. Somewhere in the last lucid bits of his brain, Biden knows he never earned his position, and even worse everyone else, even the kids, know it too.

Has everyone forgotten "Covfefe".... Trump does this all the time. Something stupid that either costs him nothing or nets a small profit which sucks the air out of the room at the exact same time one of his opponents is trying to gain momentum. Followed by him putting out something which is legit good which then makes people focus entirely on him for one of those two reasons.

He does this a lot. It is one of his main strategies.

It feels like there wasn't enough time between the two events this time. Also, what was he trying to steal thunder from?

Ten years ago I would have agreed with this.

But having seen what a lot of major corporations have done in the name of progressiveness and wokeness (ESG scores, anyone), I think there's a LOT of true believers that have bought the line "all we need is one more massacre to achieve utopia" and will keep backing the Dems hoping for either a bigger payday OR because they're true believers and starting to care less and less about profit.
I was just going to mention something along these lines, however because I am an average rainbow enthusiast I am going to posit that they can spend their capital as they wish and with reckless abandon, but that's still red on the ledger.
Considering the possibility with us just having passed the point where the majority of boomers have retired and begun drawing down, there's likely going to be a credit crunch as all the cheap capital of the decades pass disappears.
And that's before you consider the ever-looming global depression (if we don't talk about it it won't happen tho fingers crossed guise). I think that while the true believers have some degree of capital to hurl, the market will impose limits on that spending eventually.

So therefore while we may view the various funds and money people as indefinite, their tolerance for losses is higher than anything rational but still will have limits. The only problem is figuring out what those limits are and what external stimulus will wake them up the reality that those debts may not ever be paid.
I may be optimistic in think the upcoming pressures will break the will, though.

I think something funnier is going to happen:

The Dems reach into their money pit, nothing comes out like it should so they scream for someone to fill it. Everyone’s money pit is empty, because they tried so hard to keep the train going, but no one paid enough attention. Cue the finger pointing, screeching, everything that would normally happen. To top it all off, Mitt Romney and co. would still find a way to lead the GOP to defeat against a foe with zero campaign funds.

I rate optimistic because it takes a strong CEO personality to actually tell the wokies to leave. When you have softies like Bob Chapek or Papa John in charge, wokies, who can be as high up as the CFO position, run roughshod over them. Jack Dorsey could have cleaned up Twitter years ago at a fraction of the cost and with no media press, but didn't because he's a weak man.

Hey, Papa John was legitimately duped, IIRC. They kept drawing out a conversation on the phone about what he doesn’t want people to say in an ad until he pretty much said “Just don’t say nigger in my ads and you’ll be fine!” They recorded that and used it to smear him. He then stepped down in his company because it is the usual routine until he realized that it was all an orchestrated sham to get his company to become more woke.

What happened is in the 1990s, corporations were compelled to start taking steps to improve diversity. You needed more women & blacks on the payroll to avoid lawsuits. The serious men who ran things had no idea where to put them, so they decided, by and large, to put them in the place where they'd be best at helping the company avoid lawsuits - Human Resources.

So you put people with degrees in Women's Studies and other progressive nonsense in charge of all hiring & firing at the company, and surprise, 30 years later, only true believers run things. It's not like they necessarily fire you if you aren't a true believer. It's that if you aren't a believer, all the diversity training and events and messaging and bullshit is mentally taxing. It's exhausting to engage with beyond the bare minimum. You think, I just want to do my job, and do what you can to avoid being at the Latinx Womxn In Xngineering summit the company is having. Well, the woke corporate events are a key part of networking your way to the top, so you are, by default, not in the running for VP or CEO. Only people who can show enthusiasm for diversity for years on end are even in the running.

So yes, everyone running things now really believes that with the right set of regulatory nudges, black women will be driving the next leg up of technological progress and industrial advances.

:story: no. This is what lets companies rise to the top when they would normally be near the bottom. AOL and Yahoo! both had the ball until they dropped it. Now this is going to be a major ball dropping moment across all corporations that push wokeness because their competition will seize this chance and run with it to the bank.

the laws were written because legal segregation and discrimination against citizens based on immutable characteristics or personal religious identification violates the spirit and character of the Constitution and our society's values.

The application of those laws and how that's changed over time is what you should really concern yourself with, because what started as a genuine attempt to root out actual instances of racist discrimination legally morphed in the 90s into a culture of political indoctrination that none of the drafters of the Civil Rights Act ever actually conceived of
Sure, bud. That's why a group of racists ended segregation. :story:

No. After reading, and seeing, enough about how the world got to the state it is today, I'm not giving any benefit of the doubt to the government that the CRA era laws weren't intended to lead to what we have today. Do not sell me the load of bullshit that is the concept, that these people weren't aware of how those laws could be leveraged in the future.

1964 is not that long ago. Plenty of people who were in politics then, are in politics right now pushing this shit. Edit: So this is very explicitly clear, I'm not against the ideas behind that such as ending segregation and all that good shit. But they wrote the laws they did, the way they did, for a reason. Unless I'm supposed to believe over a hundred lawyers can read a document and fuck up that badly on "accident".

Conservatives are to the GOP what "POC" are to the DNC.

Either they finally break third-party at some point, or the Gay Old Pedophiles keep fucking them in the ass. They've chosen the latter for decades and it'll continue with the way DeSantis' astroturfing is going.

The Democrats held up the Civil Rights Act until they could pass it and every law that followed for publicity points. They completely changed tack on how they would try to control the black populace. Instead of Jim Crow and economic control via segregation, they would use parts of the Communism playbook via welfare and other assorted programs. All they needed was some good PR from running some laws through. It has been working pretty good so far, hasn‘t it?

Whatever makes you sleep at night. At least with Hillary Clinton's "but her emails!" mug, I'd have a tangible, physical product. This is just an image with a serial number for a CHANCE to win something. If it's anything like the election, it sounds too good to be true.
