Yea, my bad, he’s probably a fan of Michael Flynn for completely non QAnon related reasons.

You are so gullible literally anything that tells you some random fag you don’t like is in the wrong you’ll suck it up like week old cum.
"You're so gullible" is not the standard for journalists, unfortunately. Did he bring evidence? No, no, he did not. He used QAnon as a smear (which is what it is when you don't have evidence) instead of reporting on people and accurately describing their views, even if those views are weird and unsupported. If he won't stick to provable facts, he's a hack, and I can call him that because there are objective standards of professionalism he can be held to, much like I can look at someone's statements and social media and see if they actually mention QAnon or not.

Collins repeatedly getting out over his skis to make the point he wants to make is why he hasn't mentioned the Club Q shooter in weeks.

It wouldn't really make sense for Ben to champion this view because the entire concept of a disinformation specialist relies on the perception of objectivity, so his credibility depends on being seen as without agenda, which for him is only currently possible in a climate where his views are mainstream and uncontroversial and opponents of those views are radical extremists. Then again he may simply have not thought about it that far.

I agree the main post should be reworked a little, not just to maybe clean up the weird tone, but take away the focus from Ben's Twitter conduct and his KiwiFarm takedown and focus on his ongoing content. The most egregious thing about Ben is that he powers the overreach and hysteria of the modern left by being a relentless fearmonger. Not a single article he's written in at least the last 3 years is even remotely positive. Every story is one of secret insurrections, right-wing militas, dark web conspiracies. Every isolated shooting or show of protest or online shenanigans is implicitly connected to this idea that a vast, organised fascist conspiracy is in the works. Even news about tech companies censoring extremist speech come with caveats about how its not nearly enough or that another company is refusing to follow suite. If I was an American and I trusted Ben's reporting, I'd be living in a bunker.
Right, this is the inherent lunacy in the "disinformation" beat shit. It ignores history, it ignores everything we know about people, it ignores everything about its own readers, etc. It's nothing but telling a bunch of people who want to believe conspiracy theories that their conspiracy theories are true and honest and they, unlike those crazy people, are smart and wise and good and moral.

Ben wants to claim he's fighting the horrific disinformation that's undermining democracy but look at the targets of his stories: a bipolar woman, internet forums, obscure Twitter accounts, etc. Has Ben ever written a single story about the government or even a major corporation spreading disinformation (like oh, his Twitter/MSNBC buddies who used to be in the FBI/CIA and lied to both the people and Congress?) to further its goals? I doubt it because this faggot goes on Twitter and TV and complains about things like free speech, due process, capitalism, etc. not being shut down NOW NOW NOW by the state and major corporations.

It seems we know as much about this Q shooter as we do the Vegas shooter. It seems like there’s no real news surrounding this event, just narratives and political drives. Without pressing for details we’re just supposed to accept he did it because he watched Fox News or something.

Oh and they it on good authority that he isn’t non binary, and we’ve been told to stop playing along. We are, however, to continue playing along under any other circumstances.

Funny how all the "news" about that just completely dried up. You'd think the biggest gun massacre in American history would get more attention. I guess the victims being country music fans makes it uninteresting, as well as the lack of an identifiable motive.

I guess the monstrosity of blind nihilism doesn't interest these scum (they are themselves an aspect of the emptiness of the modern ethos). If he'd had anything resembling a "racist" motive, we would have never stopped hearing about it.

I don't care about Elon at all but I'm glad to see someone actually show people like him that you can't just fire off these angry tweets and expect to be taken seriously as a journalist.

According to two sources, the network told Collins that his criticism of Musk, which included mocking Musk’s ignorance about the company’s general counsel, was not editorially appropriate. Collins continued to tweet his reporting about Twitter last night about the social network’s ban of journalists.
Elon must've threatened a lawsuit or something if NBC is disciplining Collins. Normally as a journo, you can do whatever you want as long as you smear the right people and don't expose your employer to any liability.

I quite like this quote from the article:

A CNN staffer told Semafor that network executives scrambled last night to reach Twitter after O’Sullivan was suspended, but almost all of the network’s previous contacts at the company had been fired or resigned.

Appears the Mighty Musky got rid of all the newsroom operatives.

I don't know if he is actually looking to protect himself and his family or if he's just using it as a pretense to show who's boss at Twitter but he's shown the old school media that they need him way more than he needs them. You think NBC would be putting Collins in his place if Elon hadn't started making examples of these people?

They all deserved to be banned and suspended because it's obvious for anyone with half a brain that the things they're "reporting" is not real reporting at all: it's all meanness and spite caused by their dislike of Elon Musk.

What's the purpose of tracking where Elon Musk (or his jet, car, scooter, whatever) is? He's not committing any crime, he's not part of any criminal investigation. It's because they don't like him. They report and track people because they don't like them. There is really no purpose of going to someone's grandma and ask her what she thinks of her granddaughter posting stuff on twitter.

Newsrooms are scrambling to counter Elon Musk's bans

News organizations are scrambling to respond to Elon Musk’s suspension from Twitter of prominent journalists whose coverage he objected to.
On Thursday, Twitter suspended CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, the New York Times’ Ryan Mac, and the Washington Post’s Drew Harwell, as well as liberal commentator Keith Olbermann and reporters from Mashable and the Intercept.
News organizations are now considering a range of options to respond, people familiar with their conversations said. They range from pulling coverage from Twitter, as CBS News did briefly in November, to retaliating against Twitter’s advertising business: CNN executives have discussed whether their corporate parent, Warner Media Discovery, would stop its advertising on the platform.
News organizations have also discussed dropping out of the Amplify program, in which they post videos to twitter and share in the revenue, or simply asking their staffers to stop contributing to the service.
NBC News, meanwhile, has responded by suspending one of its journalists who has reported on Twitter and been harshly critical of Musk. NBC News temporarily suspended tech reporter Ben Collins from NBC and MSNBC airwaves. According to two sources, the network told Collins that his criticism of Musk, which included mocking Musk’s ignorance about the company’s general counsel, was not editorially appropriate. Collins continued to tweet his reporting about Twitter last night about the social network’s ban of journalists.

The New York Times released a statement Thursday evening calling the move “questionable and unfortunate,” and called for the tech company to offer an explanation about the suspension. Privately on Friday, the paper’s leadership asked staff not to fight with Musk on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the news organizations aren’t sure whom to call to mediate the conflict. A CNN staffer told Semafor that network executives scrambled last night to reach Twitter after O’Sullivan was suspended, but almost all of the network’s previous contacts at the company had been fired or resigned.
Musk said that some received a 7-day suspension for "doxxing" him by sharing publicly available information about his private plane, though many of those suspended had simply covered the story about his ban on an account that followed the jet.

MAX'S VIEW
Newsroom leaders have long had an ambivalent relationship with Twitter, even as it was embraced by working journalists. Now some journalists feel they have a professional responsibility to get the news out on the platform, even as their higher-ups look for ways to shift the relationship.

Imagine being such a spaz that even your NBC/MSNBC adult daycare is too embarrassed to be associated with you. lmao.

So this soy-faced ferret retard got suspended and he's continuing to chimp out, as a known reporter, along the same lines that got him suspended, on Twitter?

I'm SURE that will work out well for him.

Eat shit, Ben, you lying little pussy.

Tbh if we felt like it we'd be doing that to Musk ourselves, or any other wealthy lolcow with a jet. We just don't call it news, we'd literally be doing it just for the lulz.

CNN is not publishing "HanA**holeSolo's" name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same.

CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.
Pandora's box has been opened. Things are only going to get pettier and uglier.

Considering this fucker was the one who wrote the hit piece calling KF 'the worst place on the internet I've ever seen', fuck this guy. His article further amped up the pressure on Cloudflare to drop the sites protection which then resulted in illegal DDoS attacks which took the website offline for more than a week.

In other news apparently he's also been banned from appearing on CNN due to the attacks on Elon.

But the farms is BASED and REDPILLED.

Though I think seriously most people (here) agree with banning of journos, and just overlook the reasoning behind it while celebrating. I know I do.
Isn't Musk's aim to stick to one week suspensions as much as possible, with permabans for only illegal shit or bots? If these journos are only suspended for one week, it's harder to care about their doomsaying. A fair criticism is that Twitter could have hidden or deboosted the tweets instead of banning them.

I only read this article. Some of them are playing innocent. I need to read more if I even care to get to the bottom of this.

I don't get why it took NBC that long. They enabled and allow his behavior considering he uses his account also as a link to his job. I imagine there are people who follow him because he works for NBC and "reports" on happenings.
