Careercow Ben Collins / Benjamin Thomas Collins / @oneunderscore__ - Journo Scum

No single person whose sources are "some cunt on Twitter" should be allowed to call themself a journalist, end of. It's crazy how deep that profession has tanked its reputation in the last decade. In my country it used to be in the top 3 of hardest degrees to get, now even previously renowned papers and institutions are reporting on the same level as the National Enquirer. Beyond ridiculous.
Journos have by and large always sucked. The rise of social media has only made them more lazy as all the leg work has been replaced with just checking on what their friends are saying. Also its a lot easier to get primary sources now. so if a Jurno is lying or getting creative with their reporting it is easier to call them out.

Musk bought his toy for 44 billion big boy bucks, he could kick everyone off and scream into the void for all I care. It's not even the private company argument; Twitter is a castle, Musk owns the fuckin deed, its his damn castle, and after what just happened with his 2 year old son, that castle is going to be on high alert, cannons at the ready. People like Ben Collins need to know what a angry tyrant breathing down your neck feels like, if only for a moment in their lives.
Fair point, after he has had as many kids he is bound to have a dud.

Ben has been temporarily suspended from NBC/MSNBC for inaccurate/biased reporting.

I don't care about Elon at all but I'm glad to see someone actually show people like him that you can't just fire off these angry tweets and expect to be taken seriously as a journalist.

LOL, them bemoaning the loss of their ability to get people to grease the wheels for them. 'Oh no all our contacts are gone and we get treated like everyone else'

Rest easy knowing that trannies piss away money like it's going out of style, and even 100k trannybux won't buy that eunuch happiness, or a new penis.

Did anyone take Ben seriously in the first place and NBC for that matter in the first place?

These retards sprouts like shrooms during rain, they're everywhere and had unchecked influence in pre Elon twitter.

I'm a strong believer that the media's power actually comes from what they cover or don't versus how they cover it. That power is then amplified by social media restricting what can or can't be talked about and censoring discussion. It's an insidious and deliberate misdirection in order to draw attention to how they're covering something versus where the actual issue lies.

A large segment of the population is extremely skeptical of the mainstream media and its framing of stories, but none of us are immune from them setting the topics of discussion amongst the average citizenry. That seeps into discussion at the water cooler, discussion amongst friends, and discussion online.

Kind reminder it's easier to get to truth of matters if you do journalism yourself over politic driven sources for or news or investigative journalism which is copying and pasting one story ad nauseam, outright disinfo or the current thing since the truth is often times hard to cope with and [insert buzzwords here] which makes it easier for average normie to dismiss or lap up without thinking.

Personally I stopped caring about the media and listen to it altogether after multiple news stories were pulled for political reasons, minority butthurt or political correctness.

I go out of my way to see that the media has little impact in my life as possible.

To be blunt media networks killed journalism.

He also made clear that he's only concerned about real time info which could pose a safety risk and not slightly delayed information.

Really what is a fucking no balls tranny gonna do to someone like him? Nothing. All they can do is bitch and moan because their lives will never come close to the guy anyway. He can say and do what he wants and has a bigger audience and there is nothing they can do about it.. it's fucking hilarious.
Actually, they can supposedly stop funding to his website through "activist groups." Did he ever name those groups, actually? I'm wondering.

The difference is that KF does it with the purpose of collecting information and laugh at people, journos do it with the very open intention of causing the person harm, directly or indirectly.
That's fair and definitely right, I've seen far too many stories of random journos trying to ruin peoples' lives, often for little to no reason (any remember Scott Alexander and NYT?)

For Elon's case specifically, though, the flight data is public and can be viewed by anyone on OpenSky. You could argue that it's giving away his location when he lands and that places him in real harm, but he's a billionaire and he'd be stupid not to have security detail, especially in public places like airports.
