Careercow Ben Collins / Benjamin Thomas Collins / @oneunderscore__ - Journo Scum

So what was the legal quagmire he fucked himself into? We've seen these corrupt conglomo news corps defend their legacy journalists even when they're the shittiest people in the world. It took Chris Cuomo being outed as trying to bury a story about a rape victim who was assaulted by his brother for CNN to fire him.

Ben Colon wouldn't be suspended for mean tweets. He had to have done something that made NBC liable. The excuse given was intentionally vague.

10 bucks says he was outed a pedophile.

You could argue that it's giving away his location when he lands and that places him in real harm, but he's a billionaire and he'd be stupid not to have security detail, especially in public places like airports.
The guy who got on the car carrying his kid is lucky there wasn't an armed security guard with shoot to kill orders protecting the Musklet.

What's the purpose of tracking where Elon Musk (or his jet, car, scooter, whatever) is? He's not committing any crime, he's not part of any criminal investigation. It's because they don't like him.
I don't like Musk, but I like what he's doing. I suspect other people feel the same. If it got funny, though, I'd personally set up a Musk stalking site just to piss him off.
Damn. What an excellent OP. The reason so many people hate this website is because we hold a Mirror. This is exhibit A. I bet Ben Collins, NBC Journalist is sitting in his bedroom tonight KNOWING his bosses read this thread.
The rage of Caliban seeing his own face in a mirror.

That's fair and definitely right, I've seen far too many stories of random journos trying to ruin peoples' lives, often for little to no reason (any remember Scott Alexander and NYT?)
In the case of Scott Alexander it was kind of a foregone conclusion since he had pretty bad opsec and anybody with half a brain cell could find out he was Scott Siskind. That said though the NYT are among the lowliest of journoscum, pure vermin who sold their souls for pennies, and it was entirely unsurprising the hit piece Cade Metz put out on him attempting to tie him to things like Charles Murray among other bullshit. Makes it all the more hilarious how when FTX melted down NYT put out a puff piece about Sam Bankman-Fried instead of tearing him apart like they usually would for weirdo rationalist EA types.

My fellow Kiwis,
Earlier today, before Ben Collins got suspended by NBC, an acquaintance made an archive of Collins' Twitter account, see https://archive.md/X9gbJ .
I compared the archive with Collins' live Twitter account and I noticed the silly journo deleted various tweets and retweets.
By comparing the archive with Collins' live Twitter account, we may find out why he got suspended!
Happy hacking*!

They all deserved to be banned and suspended because it's obvious for anyone with half a brain that the things they're "reporting" is not real reporting at all: it's all meanness and spite caused by their dislike of Elon Musk.

What's the purpose of tracking where Elon Musk (or his jet, car, scooter, whatever) is? He's not committing any crime, he's not part of any criminal investigation. It's because they don't like him. They report and track people because they don't like them. There is really no purpose of going to someone's grandma and ask her what she thinks of her granddaughter posting stuff on twitter.
I agree that that's what they're doing, but don't you think this is a tad ironic to be posting on Kiwi Farms?

Maybe these normies think Elon Musk is a lolcow whose antics can be milked for enjoyment. How much kino was really delivered by the great Gunt Hunt of 2022.

Ben has been temporarily suspended from NBC/MSNBC for inaccurate/biased reporting.

I don't care about Elon at all but I'm glad to see someone actually show people like him that you can't just fire off these angry tweets and expect to be taken seriously as a journalist.
Some guy that followed Lucas has been suspended for inacurate / biased reporting?

This is my shocked face. No really. I am totally shocked this is a thing.

There was a time that journalists were held to a standard of accuracy and not just allowed to write whatever they want like angy toddlers.

This is one of the journos that hosted a Twitter Spaces session last night: https://twitter.com/katienotopoulos
In the session, people that were banned yesterday somehow participated in it, see https://twitter.com/katienotopoulos/status/1603604571288469504 .
BTW, here is a screenshot, do you recognize the troon?

My Magic 8 Ball tells be that Ben will blame us, or somehow connect this to us.
This would only make me laugh harder considering Null isn't keen on Elon. I kind of want to hear more of his opinions on what Paypal has become in his absence...or really whatever else is in Elon's history to get to where he is now. Hello Rabbit hole I shall dive into.
He also made clear that he's only concerned about real time info which could pose a safety risk and not slightly delayed information.

Honestly, I think a lot of folks who continue to criticize Elon for not being a "Free Speech" Absolutist really need to keep this in mind. I'd wager tracker accounts on Twitter would have been fine in say Obama Era. Now, an address posted or a location posted can be instantly targeted or actively harassed to allow stalkers or other bad actors to follow them. I'm sure when things cool down and Elon isn't on a kill list, he might revise or loosen the stance. Either way, he's got the keys to the castle and I expect him to protect it by any means necessary.

Two things:

Leftoids of his stripe aren't so much worried about the means as they are about the targets. Doxxing is okay when we do it.

Also, journos as a class are always kind of the misfit kid, the slight autist, who was never one of the cool kids but who was always interested in how the cool kids functioned.

Journalism as a means of settling old real or perceived scores is what is happening here.
