AFAIK Russia asked China whether it was ok with the special military operation back in Dec21. The Chinese responded to wait till after the winter olympics.

I think the US already knew everything you just posted, they've been toying with man-portable drones since well before the invasion. Even the Marines have man-portable drone operators at this point.
The US is so far ahead in drone tech - people don't realize the US has been using drones in some form or another since the 60s and even toyed around with unmanned vehicles in WW2.

The short clips showing the Ukrainian soldier tattoos are solid propaganda. I know "propaganda" has a negative connotation but I mean it earnestly. It's funny and absurd how blatant these Ukrainians brand themselves with what are hate symbols in probably all of the countries backing them.

I know some pro-Ukrainians have this smarmy "oh so now you hate nazis" notion to sperg about, but if you can't recognize the hilarious hypocrisy then you're too far gone right now.

The war special military operation isn't fake and gay but I believe a significant portion of US politicians have been hoping the powder keg would go off for years. Notably Lindsey Graham, McCain, Biden, etc. Basically the "deep state" gang. It's sort of a win/win for them and their ilk as they either reel Ukraine further under US control, much to the ire of Russia, or things go hot and they shout "SEE SEE WE TOLD YOU!!! RUSSIA WAS ALWAYS GOING TO INVADE" which justifies ludicrous spending and brings the rest of Europe further under US control since none of them can reasonably defend themselves from Russia. Don't forget Ukraine is a massive country by European standards and has potentially the strongest military of them all thanks to the US helping them build up.

For Russia, I think Putin wanted to be the one to oversee this and he's an old man; the window of opportunity was narrow. The US has provided Ukraine weapons and training for nearly a decade now and it only increased with time. Trump was the first to send Javelins to Ukraine which drew much ire from both western and Russian leadership. Ukraine was becoming harder to invade and has repeatedly asked to join NATO.
There's a lot that led up to this and much of it isn't clear to me but none of it is black and white.

I know it's a lot to ask, but if you lived in East Europe, by now you'd likely have met dozens of Ukrainian refugees, which for some weird reason was not the case (at all) before the fake war.
And Gonzalo Lira, if that's what you allude to, is more of a propagandist, not an information source. There are info sources, but they're rather biased and dark, i.e. people getting blown to bits, fields full of bomb craters that were just a year ago full of wheat, cities reduced to rubble, mud, trenches and the sort.
Having to decide what's real and what's not is one of the great challenges of modern Internet, I suppose...

Here's the thing though, I had expected nothing less than Russian to force a military solution.
There's an old joke about this in China.

If the UN was a compass.
If America says go north, the EU will follow.
Russia will always go south
China will always go north-northwest
Israel guides the US on what north is.

Hard to wear out rocket tubes vs. rifled tubes.

Cheap, disposable dones for raining ordnance or just recon are critical.

I think the main thing with artillery is that even old pieces are still relevant as long as there's enough ammo to keep them all firing.
