I'm willing to bet that Sony is going to release Hall Effect replacement stick modules that they'll sell for a premium to further milk the cows that are going to buy this overpriced peripheral.
At that price you'd expect the gimbals use hall effect sensors instead of the usual potentiometers but nope Sony is the new Apple. You can get RC transmitters for that price, if not lower, with hall effect gimbals.

Will Spider-man 2 be the first new PS5 exclusive first-party? Or is that also coming to PS4 as per Sony's usual fuckery?
Looking at the other Spider-Man games, it's almost certainly a timed-exclusive at this point. There's like 3 noteworthy exclusives, one is a remake lol

$200.00 for a fucking controller. Embarrassing!
It’s been said to death here, but I don’t see anyone willing to regularly go out to buy a PS5 this Christmas season, even if they don’t have a PS4. I literally had to spend $60+ dollars on three PS1 Tomb Raider games, and that’s a much better deal than buying a $200+ controller that will not even have that much battery life.

In fact, I don’t even remember much about PS4 controllers having this much of an issue.

for 200 bucks that thing better jerk me off. What happened to controllers recently that has just made them so awful? I never had any stick drift issues with anything prior to this generation. The Wii U pro controller (I would use it for everything if it had analog triggers) literally has infinite battery somehow, and its not even a very large battery. I literally can only recall charging mine 2 or 3 times in the years I've had it.
Did controller used to use Hall Effect sticks, or is the quality just so absurdly low nowadays that the sticks wear out instantly? Because my gamecube and ps2 controllers have no stick issues at all, not even my 360 controllers, and those are beat to shit.

doesn't the switch lite have stick drift as well?
Nothing's perfect, but yeah. Mine had a touch of it virtually out of the box. Still, I think Nintendo repairs them for free, don't they?

Not to excuse their shoddy craftsmanship, Switch has been a black mark on their otherwise very good record of sturdy systems. Even N64 controllers only drifted after intense abuse, but here Switches are drifting brand new. It's ridiculous.

it's legitimately what they say "due to having more features", controllers are shit now because they're trying to stick motion controls, touchpads, microphones, speakers and a million other pointless things into them that 99% of games dont use
I wish a company would come out and say "Here's our dumb fucking brick controller option, it has no features besides you pressing the buttons and them working, it costs $20 and wont break for no reason"
