When this is over, all you mutts need to get your legislature to implement net neutrality legislation, rather than waiting for the FCC to make it an executive rule. That's the only way it will stick.

And while I'm wishing for impossible miracles, get them to repeal all that financial blacklisting malarkey. Like Sniffin' Joe said: no malarkey!

Interestingly, I have a server hosted in the States that can still resolve 1776 in the clear. It looks like the parent company is owned by the Dutch which may explain why that is.

ETA: But they're also peered with both Lumen and Aselion which doesn't make sense.

I witnessed a very effective propadanda campaign during my highschool years in the late 2000s that convinced millennials that "liberals" were just educated people who didn't hate anyone and were "moderate". They ran off the anti-war sentiments(a war which the democrat party voted for btw) to link various groups to the republican party and the "right wing". So if you didn't want to hang gays and thought the wars outlived their purpose, you must identify and vote democrat.
The people themselves were never Anti-War:
In the years after the September 11 attacks, Heaney and Rojas write, peace activism became “truly a mass movement”: From 2001 through 2006, there were at least six anti‐war demonstrations that drew more than 100,000 protestors, “including the largest internationally coordinated protest in all of human history” in February 2003.

The authors brought teams of researchers to most of the largest national protests from 2004 to 2010, and gathered reams of survey data from more than 10,000 respondents. Early on, they noticed substantial overlap between anti‐war agitation and affiliation with the Democratic Party. That “party‐movement synergy” helped the war opposition to expand dramatically during the administration of George W. Bush. It also, eventually, contained the cause of its undoing under Barack Obama. “Once the fuel of partisanship was in short supply,” Heaney and Rojas note, “it was difficult for the antiwar movement to sustain itself on a mass level.”
...
Party in the Street's epilogue features a 2013 snapshot of a glum cadre of middle-aged peace activists carrying anti-drone signs outside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The book went to press shortly after President Obama launched America's latest war in the Middle East, against ISIS (a group that rose up in the chaotic and violent power vacuum left by previous wars). Despite Tomahawk missiles raining down on both sides of the Iraq-Syria border, "the mass constituency of the U.S. antiwar movement has gone home," Heaney and Rojas conclude.
The people that adopt these movements then abandon them when the political winds change are nothing but pious narcissists. They went to an Anti-War protest to be seen and get the feeling they were something special but once their man got into office, atrocities no longer became important.

I have it always on, and I rarely have it routed to the US. So I haven't noticed any outages until I turned it off.

Starlink not working.

Someone needs to tweet Musk

It also started medio 2000s amongst the more terminally online. I had friends who transitioned (and then I lost all contact with because it worsened their depression etc.) pre 2010. There is a correlation with certain mental illnesses, and those also seem to correlate with working in tech.

I've never seen anyone well-adjusted in tech trooning out, it's always someone with other severe issues, and it usually worsens them, there's a reason the 41% has increased drastically as the contagion has spread.

Also it makes sense with the more recent research showing it to be a social contagion, that it is concentrated in the group it started in (i. e. the terminally online tech people).
I’ve always assumed it was also because the tech industry just tends to attract more awkward, autistic types who have a hard time socializing with people different to them. So not only do you have the people with severe mental issues, they also often form a very insular group where they’re only socializing with other people with severe mental issues.

That's wishful thinking that our legislator actually cares what their constituents want or wants to increase the citizen's freedom from censorship.

The whole thing is a Revenge of the Nerds scheme.
Yeah but in revenge of the nerds they actually ended up becoming cool in the end and even winning over their critics like Ogre in the second film.
This is more a real life version of I can't get laid IRL because I'm a nutter so let me become a tyrant online and abuse others as an outlet for my bad behavior.

Had to connect using TOR today. The Orchards aren't coming up on Clearnet and I get a PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR.
