CenturyLink/Qwest/Layer3 blocks Kiwi Farms

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Figured I should go and share my autism uptime logs. I use Uptime Kuma (Docker) and I have it ping sites in the background on an old computer I have. It helps me debug shit in my network and see if sites are down or if I fucked something up.

These are uptime graphs for Kiwi Farms and they're easy to understand. The green is online, and any spikes in the green is the site having a shitty ping (site=slow). The red is when it reaches the timeout limit, usually means it's offline for realz.

I find it kinda interesting that it came back for a bit. Seems others have had that too.

edit note: these graphs aren't gospel and there is a chance that I misconfigured things, but it's a good idea of what is happening.

It should be enough to say that you are not able to connect to 103.114.191.1, and that you know/have been told this is because of routing issues some ISPs are having.

If you manage to get this either passed on to or explain it directly to their NOC/engineers on call they should be able to fix it (as other ISPs have).

I'll get onto this tomorrow. I've used 3 for several years, so I'll just explain that I'll change services if it isn't resolved by after New Years or something. I think the important thing is getting a clear picture of what kind of sketchy, behind the scenes activity made this possible. Cloudflare set the ball rolling and have effectively put the Internet as we have already known it on the line. The sad thing is, when people stop caring about trannies, there might be something even worse around the corner to emulate the 'scream until you get your way' model pioneered by No Dong.

Do you have exact timestamps (in UTC) for when things went up and down.

Yes, the precedent here is
a) network providers/ISPs can block whatever they want they don't like, regardless of legality.
So they can start blocking things like VPNs because it stops them from getting data on customers they can sell to advertisers.

b) Personal harassment of network providers/ISPs works, and we saw Keffals et al immediately start going after other sites last time.

But theres nothing I can do to get my VPN to work over US servers?
It depends on the individual US servers (where they are hosted).

The Internet has been split into internets, so either the VPN provider administering the servers need to manually fix it, or the servers need to be in a location which has connectivity with the Norwegian/Terrahost internet.

They’re gutter scum of the lowest order. The fact they take pride in compromising the Internet, one of the greatest leaps forward in terms of communication and information, is the most nauseating thing of all. They’d burn everything down to protect their egos and see that the entire world is forced to be in on their lie.

None of my VPNs are working or letting me on the site, I'm being forced to use a Norway connection to get on.
The Telegram post says GTT is blocking the Farms. I had thought they nullrouted it for a couple of days months ago but then the ban was removed. Am I wrong, or they did they actually reinstate their previous block?
Can you copy and paste the Telegram post so the rest of us can read it?

Have you tried Netherlands/Amsterdam as well?

LATEST TELEGRAM UPDATE

The following ISPs are either rejecting our announcement or blackholing our routes (103.114.19.0/24
). This is unprecedented without court order. We are a legal site being blocked by massive corporations, in violation of European Net Neutrality.

* Lumen (a/k/a CenturyLink, Qwest, Level 3) (Tier 1)
* GTT (Tier 1)
* Arelion (Tier 1)
* Zayo (Tier 1)
* Voxility

It's the Christmas Season and there's limited options. VPNs (particularly from Amsterdam) will work. Tor will work. I will keep the site available as I can.

After New Years, if this is not resolved, I will declare 𝕿𝖔𝖙𝖆𝖑 𝕽𝖊𝖙𝖆𝖗𝖉 𝖂𝖆𝖗. The digital equivalents of the post office are refusing us the most fundamental levels of infrastructure simply because they do not want to deal with complaint volume. So, we will complain louder.

If we don't undo this damage, then the first nail is in the coffin for free speech online. Without hyperbole, they have established a surefire way to remove any website from the Internet and every ISP will have to deal with direct, personal harassment because they have proven IT WORKS.

If you are in these companies, you must vocally renounce this decision.
if you are in the industry and have connections, you must vigorously reject this.
If you are a direct customer, you must complain to them, and you must complain to the FCC (US) and BEREC (EU).

<https://www.berec.europa.eu/en/all-you-need-to-know-about-net-neutrality-rules-in-the-eu>

And if that doesn't work in short order, I will reach out to the media. The ordinary person opposed to the status quo needs to understand how unbelievably fucking insidious this is. It will absolutely happen to alternative media sources very soon. They're already lining up their next targets.

Do you want 𝓣𝓸𝓽𝓪𝓵 𝓡𝓮𝓽𝓪𝓻𝓭 𝓦𝓪𝓻?

They only exist because of the internet, for that matter. Then again, when have troons not been extremely shortsighted? The backlash is going to be really, really bad. The harder they push, the more momentum it has on the back swing.

What's particularly funny is they're opening the door to "scream until win" for anyone, including their enemies, and indeed legitimizing harassment and silencing. When that shoe is on the other foot, I will not feel an iota of sympathy.

They chose this, they forced this, and honestly, it might be for the best.

NordVPN appears to not be able to connect to Kiwi Farms from any US node. Relevant information sent to Jersh.

I can't believe how many Tier 1's are doing this all at once. This has to be a coordinated effort. There is no way this many of them made independent decisions to implement this all at the exact same time. Their timing is also obviously intentional, doing it to maximize downtime during the holiday season. Fuckers.

Sorry if this is treading on already covered ground. But, trying to catch up with nearly 40 pages of posts is a bit daunting given all the other seasonal holiday obligations.

For those in the UK apart from complaining to your ISP you can also complain to OFCOM as this blatantly breaks their net neutrality rules:

Your provider must not block access to, slow down (‘throttle’), or discriminate in other ways between internet traffic on its network, unless it is necessary to do so for legal, security or emergency reasons.
We cannot investigate individual complaints, but we use complaints data to identify cases where enforcement may be required. This data can also highlight areas where we can take regulatory action, such as introducing new rules to protect customers and/or businesses.

Update, spoke with Spectrum rep through a chat asking them about the IP blackhole. The representatives denied using Centurylink or any Centurylink subsidiaries. I'll call another time, but I doubt I'll get anywhere.

Yeah, unfortunately you gotta get through the opening tier and escalate the issue. The manager is reviewing the chat logs right now.
I spoke with Spectrum, told them that it was a tier 1 blocking the site ( I used the ip for obvious reasons.) explained that their hops were going through, but it was getting stuck on twelve99 (Which is Telia/Arelion) and told them that the site was completely legal and how unprecedented this was.
She put me on hold, and when she came back told me to reset my equipment. I filled out my fcc complaint while I waited and sure enough, less than an hour later I was back up on clearnet and the trace no longer showed Twelve99 in the list. Hopefully they fix it for you, but that's what I did for reference.

Considering UK speech laws, it might be better to mention https://madattheinternet.com as that should be more "acceptable".

Can access via TOR. Just talked to CL online support, completely worthless. Just kept passing me around while not answering my question of "Yes or No is this address being blocked" just gave up in frustration.

Skimming through the DNS talk. I have a pi-hole on my network, technically I can set the DNS service to use. Is this correct? If so, what service should I use?
