I read Moira Greyland's book, and it's horrible what happened to her. However, it's not at all clear that SFWA had anything to do with covering up or endorsing Breen or Bradley's behavior.

For one thing, the "Breendoggle" occurred a couple years before the SFWA was founded. The SFWA does not organize conventions and they are not a social club. They were started as a writers guild that was concerned mostly with royalties and contracts. (They helped get J.R.R Tolkien his royalties for the unauthorized U.S. publication of Lord of the Rings).

While there were rumors surrounding Breen, he had numerous people insisting they were all lies, including Marion Zimmer Bradley.
