The Awful Fursuit Thread - Viewer beware, you're in for a scare!

Geez, I wish I could buy a fursuit, but I can't afford one due to my wife's heavy drug addiction and the funeral costs for all of my children who died from FAS (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome).
Guess I'll have to go to Dollar Store.

There's a story behind this suit I've heard in passing - The person in it apparently physically unwell somehow, and isn't a fan of how rough and overly touch/cuddly other people in suit can act when playing their characters. So they intentionally made an old granny who looks frail to encourage people to not be so rough, which apparently works quite well. In a weird way, it's genius. Some people get so horribly in-character they forget that normal boundaries exist.
I honestly hope that story is true, because that's absolutely genius. I'm sure some morons still don't get the message, but it's the thought that counts. (And getting yelled at by the rest of the social group for being too rough with grandma.)

Holy shit thank you for this thread.

Anyway here's a suit I've seen in person and yes it's as grimy irl as it looks photographed

Edit: also here's a video of the orange pony in the op in action. It was made to look completely fucking stupid
Genuinely no words for this quadsuit other than what the fuck? I make costumes and props, and I'm desperately trying to figure out how one could even improve such a monstrosity. The proportions are so... Wrong. It looks like a repainted blow-up dinosaur suit on meth, can't imagine how hot that thing must be. Seeing that it looks to be made out of some sort of fleece or minky fabric and potentially has stuffed pillows to give it that plush look.

Why you ignore the warning, click on the spoiler and complain?

It's awful that there are probably people hugging the fursuit at conventions, venues and public places unaware it's a potential bio-hazard.
Why do we all slow down and stare at the car accident than go “gross bro?”

It’s human nature, I have to see what’s behind the spoiler, there is no stopping it.
Oh lawd.

Yucky.
