He’s only got 1m subs. Random commentary YouTubers have like 9m and recognise that they are regular non celebrities. With the effort he puts in and length of time he’s been around.. basically he should be on miles more, and would be if he weren’t personably so dislikable.

He can’t say it’s cos he’s a quaint wee English channel- most of his subs are Americans, and English language is the biggest market scope all things considered online.

He skinwalks Contrapoints, remember? Although Contra doesn't exactly pass, she's able to stage her videos in a way that are serving t-girl fantasy. She's basically stopped making videos now and the last couple were all over the place, but she did used to be able to deliver them with a sort of louche Oscar Wilde/Weimar debauchery that was arousing to a certain type of man, so had a merry band of simps who wanted to bang her. Even when you look on his subreddit or videos, the comments are usually along the lines of "Abigail is sooooo pretty " or "Abi is hot she's so sexy in this outfit". It always has the tone of like a teenage girl or gay man complimenting him.

He's the most unlikable major personality in the whole "breadtube" circuit imo, which is no small feat.

It helps to contrast him with his idol Contra - as insane and mentally broken as Contra is, there's at least still something honest and vulnerable and genuinely self-aware about him - he can actually endear himself to an audience because he can recognize and critique his own faults (within the limits of his ideological beliefs) and come off as human. His narcissism is balanced out by his depressive and self-destructive tendencies in a way that makes him seem more tragic than annoying, and makes the whole "teehee girl" act less creepy and more pathetic.

PT on the other hand (or at least his public persona) is just pure narcissism, seemingly without a shred of genuine self-awareness. He's incredibly self-righteous, intolerably smug and an unrepentant know-it-all, and trooning out has done away with any reservations he might've had about openly displaying these traits, because now he considers his holier-than-thou attitude justified by his "marginalized" status. Every time he speaks, he comes off fake and preachy, and his joyful smug egocentrism when it comes to performing "womanhood" gives him a really creepy vibe.

I think whether he's actually somewhat attracted to men or not, 'coming out' as bi was always going to be a political ploy. Being a 'straight white male' was never going to hold in the long run. Being bi did give him oppression points at that point in time. These days bisexuality barely exists in that matrix.
