Not sure if its because of work being done but this is the error clearnet has been giving me today.

I got that too. I get through to the farm most of the time - works best when I VPN to Norway. I was VPNd to Hungary on my phone and the site is slow af and I kept getting errors.

You're both hitting the same autism mesh node in those screenshots (KF-MESH-NL-HSL, where I guess NL stands for Netherlands), and I'm not sure of how things are set up but Jersh said they were targeting one server in particular (the one handling connections from GTT), so I assume that might be it.

I'm not sure how many servers there are in the autism mesh either or where they are located/connected, but I think there is at least one at/near AMSIX in Amsterdam and I think at some NIX in Norway, based on what's on Terrahost's webpage.

So as you said, a Norwegian VPN server is probably the best to use if Amsterdam fails.

I noticed that a while ago the loading behavior of Tor Browser changed so that images and videos do not load until the user scrolls down to them, rather than loading the whole page when I request it. I'm constantly left waiting for content to load with my full attention to make sure that it loads, when before I could set a page to load while i pay attention to something else and then read the page after it had loaded. Now I must babysit the page in order to make sure that everything has loaded, then scroll back to read the page in a dignified way so that I'm not constantly interrupted.

Did anyone else notice this change?

I'm not sure but I feel that embedded videos are also like this now in that they only load if they are viewable on the screen, so I can't click pause and continue scrolling while the video loads and then watch it after it has fully loaded, I have to leave the browser with the video on the screen to wait for it to finish loading.

I realize that the cause of this is probably Firefox, and it was done to reduce traffic loads, but on a slow(er) connection such as tor this really degrades the user experience. Is there some way to fix this?

I was getting those, too on clearnet. I booted up a Tor window in Brave with the clearnet domain, and it's the exact opposite - the site runs like a cheetah for me right now on Tor.

I think this is a Firefox change, though one that may have been delayed in being implemented in Tor Browser- or the Firefox ESR that Tor Browser is based on. Try going to about:config and changing the dom.image-lazy-loading.enabled setting to disabled.

Blah blah blah obviously this will make it easier for Jawsh to tell you're not running a completely vanilla install of Tor Browser 12.0.1.

I think with some of these 'weird' settings that people are seeing like webassembly being turned off, they're artifacts of upgrading Tor Browser from older versions- possibly particularly when the more paranoid security settings are set. No reason to turn those on to browse the Farms. Tor Browser is self contained, if you're talking to The Base on Tor Browser turn the paranoid settings on on one copy of it that you keep in one folder, and use another to browse the Farms with.

How many requests is too many requests? I get this error when I skim through threads (with the TOR browser).
EDIT 00:45 UTC - disregard, things are fine now

Have been getting this error all day except when on Netherlands VPN; Norway is hit or miss. It seems like every day now, something new is afoot. However, I will be patient and hope things will ultimately be resolved. You can win against your enemy by just not giving up.

Things are changing because the attack is very persistent and I'm altering the rules and trying new stuff out every day. It's probably multiple people working together to try and figure out what disrupts the site the most.

This Ooperator can't stop, won't stop.

Site's been doing better today with the occasional "Too many requests" or "502 Bad Gateway" page.

429 Too Many Requests is making the site extremely hard to use without constantly switching VPN servers. It's running perfect when it's not throwing that error.
