I've always wondered if these cartoons were always cringe and everyone who watched them just grew up.The vid basically felt like watching one of Arins cartoons from the late 2000s which does not hold up for todays standards.

Arin didn't animate or seemingly write it. He produced and voice acted for it, and that seems to be it.The vid basically felt like watching one of Arins cartoons from the late 2000s which does not hold up for todays standards. His core fanbase grew up and better talented animators came into the spotlight while he was messing around with Gamegrumps for 10 years. You dont dick off playing videogames for 10 years and then expect to get back into the animation scene with the same level of animation from your Newgrounds days.
You are correct on that as this animation was credit to someone else in both the description and the credits.Arin didn't animate or seemingly write it. He produced and voice acted for it, and that seems to be it.
*its nickelodeon guts on snes why are you this upset*You guys are reminding me of how uncomfortable Jon would get sometimes. Arin screaming bad words, refusing to go with a set up, getting pissed during competitive games. No wonder he got the hell out of there.
I love that apparently Ryan said to DingDong he remained silent for his career because he'd rather be an LA lets player than back in the midwest stacking shelves. Imagine being so sociopathic, pathetic or stupid that being a let's player living in LA is like youre charles foster kane type storyCan't say I disagree with his assessment of Matt. Ding Dong may be neurotic as fuck, but at least he's honest about his autism. Matt (and maybe Ryan, I don't know or care) definitely changed for the worse at some point and it's sad to see.
Being in LA just to let's play sounds like the most monumentally retarded thing that you can do. Why do these fuckers feel the need to live in Hollywood for their YouTube careers? You can do that shit anywhere!I love that apparently Ryan said to DingDong he remained silent for his career because he'd rather be an LA lets player than back in the midwest stacking shelves. Because they don't just want to Let's Play, you see. They want to "branch out" - movies, TV, vidya, the works, and, unfortunately, CA is still where a lot of the big names in entertainment are.Being in LA just to let's play sounds like the most monumentally retarded thing that you can do. You could just be like Red Letter Media and live in a random midwestern city where celebrities fly out to see you because of the good work that you do.Because they don't just want to Let's Play, you see. The money's good I'm sure, but I would never make a career out of a hobby like playing videogames.I love that apparently Ryan said to DingDong he remained silent for his career because he'd rather be an LA lets player than back in the midwest stacking shelves. 300k for a Game Grumps video involving Aron shows that the glory days are not just over, but the Era of the Manchild is running thin. I know SMG4 videos that gain a million to two million views on YT, and their humor has gone towards the safe side in recent years.Pilot:

Now the views are a little all over the place there, but I'd say that averages just about 300k. He couldn't even get the grumpers to show up in full force for this video.
I just went back and watched Dingdong's original stream about Dream Daddy and it's funny because he actually says over and over that his major problem with Dream Daddy (aside from it being shallow gay pandering) was the way the "team lead" was handling it in the office, and the team lead was Vernon Shaw. I also have some personal experience with people in their sphere having an industry-adjacent job at the time and I've heard from multiple people that Vernon Shaw is a weasely little piece of shit and that everyone hates him lol. He quit the internet shortly after Dream Daddy came out and I just now put together that part of his flounce had to be because of this drama with DingDong and Julian.Hearing Ding Dong talk about this again, and through my own personal experiences, I think I have a better idea of what actually conspired.
When Ding Dong was shown the Dream Daddy build by Matt, he obviously had some grievances with it, and after seeing how miserable it was making a lot of the employees working at Game Grumps, he decided to say something in an attempt to help after some urging from both Julian and some of the employees.
This is when the employees used Ding Dong as a guinea pig, allowing him to take the first step and test the waters before they spoke out as well. When they saw what happened with him getting doxed and blacklisted from the industry, the employees backed down. At best they would get fired, at worst they would never be able to get a career again.
It sucks, but when push came to shove, the employees chose their jobs over their friend. I know Ding Dong said there is a recording of him explaining everything, but here's to hoping we never actually hear it.
As for Matt, it seems like he cares more about his image than Ding Dong. But if he truly wants to be friends or make it up to him, be an adult, sit down in person, and have a conversation. Will it be awkward? Of fucking course. But after everything that has happened Ding Dong is still trying to make an effort to be friends, either reciprocate it or don't.
And for the members of Game Grumps who blacklisted Ding Dong. Fuck you. How fucking petty do you have to be to ruin someone's career because they spoke negatively about your visual novel game? Eat shit.
Fixed that for you.Being in LA just sounds like the most monumentally retarded thing that you can do.

Fixed that for you. The thought of Edd being like Tom (or any of those former e-celeb turned hacktivist) terrifies me.You either die Edd Gould, or live long enough to see yourself become Thomas TomSka Ridgewell
LA is where people go to branch out then commit sepukku when they fail, unless they're lucky. No one mentions the last part, though.Because they don't just want to Let's Play, you see. its also where they go to suck eachother off and guest star on there friends showsLA is where people go to branch out then commit sepukku when they fail, unless they're lucky. No one mentions the last part, though.
Hate to defend the Gramps here but i hardly believe Dan foresaw that the author of the walkie was still "around" and that the Lovelies would get to him.Dan then reads out the IRL name of the guy that made the walkthrough, then tells the people watching Game Grumps to send messages to him right after both of them talk shit about this walkthrough he made when he was twelve.
i still maintain these are both hilarious fucking bits
