Weirdest site you found on the internet - Bonus points if still online.

A website with all kinds of textfiles, trending toward libertarianism, anarchism, outright (supposed) methods for making a bomb, a "how to run a gang" guide, phreaking, amateur spying, and all kinds of gloriously chaotic shit.

I THINK this is it and if not it was one just like it:

textfiles.com

First found it in freaking elementary school while skiving off my typing class and went on a download binge thinking I had found some kind of treasure trove of deep secrets. I had missed the last of the BBS era because we had semi-useless Internet up until I was almost out of my parents house.

I'm slightly surprised that this site still exists, or at least existed a few years ago on the actual net and not archives. But I say slightly because we all know this is a honeypot.

I came across this little oddity by chance when searching for something on google images: https://blackjackrants.blogspot.com/

This might not seem off at first, until you click around the links he has where he reviews or lets plays a whole lot about pokemon, anime and whatever else. And when I say a whole lot, I mean pages and pages and PAAGES of just whatever random shit he's talking about. Here's just one page that should give you an idea of what an average blogpost of his is like: https://blackjackrants.blogspot.com/2022/06/pokemon-my-fan-made-region-part-1.html
It's not just a wall of text, it is a goddamn word mountain.

And it's not even like he's that popular or notable. From what I can tell with him being a blogspot user, he hardly if ever gets comments on his posts, and yet he's been writing these personal thoughts about whatever for 8 years now and still going:

If these were forum posts or video reviews I think they'd be pretty interesting seeing him and others delve deep into whatever they're into, but here it just seems like he's screaming into the void. With noone to really take notice (well besides me and you guys now).
Idk if most blogspot users are like this given how pretty unpopular the site is now, but yeah. I'd say the autism runs pretty deep with this guy.

I remember reading one of these files back in the day and it had this glorious advice I'll never forget how to have free sex with a hooker - it was literally just sleep with her, and then don't pay her. "What's she gonna do, go to the police?" This were literally his words. Obviously the edgy teenager who wrote this never heard of pimps. I sometimes wonder if somebody tried this ill-fated advice. 99% of that stuff was on that level so I would not worry about it being a honeypot or whatever. It was just a different time and stuff like that was normal for the internet of back then before it got all corporate and weird and people started wearing dresses and screetching and hitting report buttons because somebody wrote a gamer word.

I do this too sometimes online. Idk it's kinda therapeutic sometimes. It's not really much about who reads it.

This is on some larger forum thing but love hina generation itself has a bunch of other sites / community shit, like a wikia and something called a tapatalk.
It's not anything too weird other than weeb mixed universe roleplay like this (screenshot below)

I discovered this site back in 2015. Blameitonjorge did a video covering it calling it “the most dangerous rabbit hole on the internet”, which is pretty cringe imo. It’s obviously a very avant-grade student art project that got its roots in the 90’s. It’s creepy ngl, but also pretty amusing.

Warning: Lots of flashing colors on the screen, proceed with caution.

Or.... the concept of getting paid up front.

A fairly typical Blogspot/WordPress user.

They write just to keep track of what they are thinking about.

Painfully ignorant statement when textfiles.com is a site deemed noteworthy enough that it is archived by the Library of Congress.
You think the government wouldn't archive their own work, pat themselves on the back? There's more than just the .html they're archiving.

https://goaravetisyan.ru/ seems to be at first glance a women's magazine but then theres an hour+ long read on the effects of lend-lease from a russian perspective and the more you dig the weirder it gets.
There is a notorious makeup artist in Russia, Gohar Avetisyan, who once became famous for doing free makeup for women with very noticeable physical disabilities. Now she makes her life something like a reality show. It used to be her website, but then it was stolen due to the non-renewal of the domain, and the "magazine" was named after Goara Vetisyan to justify the domain name.
