Depends. Is his lawyer a private one a la Bell, or an overworked public attorney? Unless there was something obviously mishandled by the Prosecution during the trial or sentencing, the sentence should stand.

Now a question is, will Nick be sent off to some nuthouse/prison a la Arkham, or will he be sent to the Big House? Not sure which would be worse, but at least on the nuthouse side, he may get some treatment and a padded cell all to himself.

So guys I did some math.

Nick's mom, Carol, is 47 years old. His aunt, Joyce, is 54 years old.

It means that by the time nick gets out he's going to be 64 years old, his mother will be 87 years old and his aunt will be 94 years old.

Can anyone here really believe that an 87 year old woman is going to take care of her 64 year old son?

Putting him in general population would be a death sentence, and not one you'd have to wait long for. He'll be segregated.

How would segregation work? Would he be kept appart from general population for 16.5-40 years? Or would he at some point be integrated with the other inmates?

It's gonna be really brutal if he's by himself for that long (not much difference from how he used to live, but now he lacks internet).

Seg and Sol aren't the same thing. Seg's where they keep the prisoners everyone wants to murder. Sol's where they lock you indoors for 23 hours a day by yourself with only a bucket for company.

When Nick comes out of prison (if he even survives that long), the world, society, everything will be vastly different. There'll be things he's never even dreamed off that will become items of everyday use. The world has become a slightly better place on monday.

The only difference is that in Seg you can actually talk to the other pedos/rats. Seg is still 23 hours in a cell per day.

If nick gets paroled in 16 years his mother will only be 63 years old.
