What's the best game out of the series in your opinion? Favorite Civs? Strategies?

V

England, though I do find Venice interesting.

Play as England, invest in a lot of science and get to the Renaissance Age as soon as, building a lot of science and money based things. Build a fuck off huge navy and bomb the shit out of coastal areas and basically dominate the sea until flight is invented. Pay off every city state you can and if a bigger neighbour starts threatening them, give them advanced weaponry and let them duke it out themselves.

Alexander has always proven to be the world's biggest dickhead in terms of relations in every single game I've played.

"Oh hey! You're buddies with Rameses II? Those pyramids would look great outside my temple..."

Then he declares war and makes peace with your friend in 3 turns. Forcing you to go to war with him for a pointless reason.

Oh definitely! Him, Isabella and fucking Askia too! Though people always complain about Montezuma, but he's always been a bro to me.

Montezuma has ALWAYS had it out for me every single game. Napoleon on the other hand has been the biggest bro I've had in several of my games. Askia is good too, but he's difficult to please. Usually I end up allying with Oda and Bismark on occasions.

What kind of victory is your favorite?

Science. But I do like a good Domination every now and then.

I have a game going with Mongolia and the last three nations are Oda, Suleiman, and Augustus. And I've just been slowly pushing into their borders and debating whether to start building the starship or not. Hmm, maybe I could open a "Kiwis Play" thread for Civ V

If you can, I'd say build it. Because Space Mongols are fucking cool!

As for the Kiwis Play thread, that could be great! Expect lots of Jace references though if one of the Arabic Nations turn up! :P

I've already got the stasis chamber and whatnot sent to the capital!

My computer isn't the best at graphics though, and I'm running Vanilla Civ so yea. But I'll see how it goes later today!

IV is okay. Get a medic general and aggressively denying military resources to your neighbors seems to be the good strategy. Still, it come down to either having huge military in one tile as a spearhead. It gets boring after a while. I hate having a huge empire as the automated cities build dumb things.

I often switch to cultural and have three cities reach legendary culture in the space of a couple turns.

I don't play on Earth. I prefer smaller oceans.

This happened to me two days. The only difference is that was that my "friend" then joined in the fight against me that she invited me to. I had a lot of techs and cities from some one else who a conquered and bullied and made peace with the dude. I then trigger a war between the two civilizations under false pretenses so the guy who originally declared war was on my side.

I then made contact with other civs and realized I turned my portion of the world into a third world hellhole. Victory would be unlikely and require lots of work and time. Such is life.

I've got almost 250 hours in Civ 5 BNW but I don't finish most/any games. I reroll too much. If I start next to warmongers or if there's very few luxuries I have to slog through annoying wars and negative economy for 150 turns.

I want to learn Domination VC though. Only won it once. Tall science/diplo gets boring and wide play way more efficient for all VCs if you can do it right, which I can't.

I dunno, am I the only one who thinks winning most VCs is a matter of how good you roll? I almost always play Continents btw.

Civ4's dabes, although I love playing as Poland in 5 BNW.
I don't like Civ6's art direction, but I've heard about interesting new features like multi-tile cities and unit combining.
