What I find interesting is that event streams are ranked 4th on the question about favorite type of Jerma content, behind meltdown streams, "anything", and weird concept streams. Despite half of them being gender weirdos that started watching a year ago, it seems like the people who voted in this have better taste than I thought. It's also curious that this part of the census is numbered 1-5 instead of having percentages like the other categories, which makes me wonder how many people are actually into the event streams.

I see why he wants to retire so bad, no money in the world is worth dealing with this many freaks and degens like in that poll worshipping your ass and thirsting after you.

I guess Muselk could count? He was known largely for TF2 but he moved to Fortnite. I think in his case he just buried all of his old audience with the one he got from the battle royale boom of the late 2010s.

Me theory on why Jerma’s fan base is so degen is because of his style of humor. He mostly plays to the “random & quirky” humor (which I find he does well, honestly) that appeals to so many gender specials because it doesn’t require the personality to espouse any real opinions. This vibes with the LGBTQ movement so much because they’re basically a hair-trigger away from redecorating their bedroom walls at any given moment, so when they find content that is apolitical and mostly un-opinionated, they stick to it like flies on shit because they know their favorite Twitch streamer won’t say anything that can be misconstrued as an opinion that might have a chance of hurting their feelings.

This is just my theory, however.

Some people here are reading too much into Jerma's actions like he has some deep hidden motives, you have to remember he's a complete normie. He does sponsored streams because he needs money to do his event stuff. He doesn't understand the alphabet movement, trannies, whatever. He just wants everyone to get along, which is exactly the type of person trannies latch on to. "Unproblematic kings" they call them. The people they idolize as 'allies' are either people with full blown degeneracy or people too oblivious to say or do anything offensive to them. The moment I knew Jerma as we knew it was over was when he did that stream addressing the trans pride spam stuff, because him not saying anything against them was open borders for them. You really have to put the foot down with them if you want to stay pure.

The community was setting itself up for failure by giving itself the identity of being 'out there', which eventually turned into the kind of tumblr 'zomg so quirky!' humor that unfunny teenage girls adopt instead of actually being funny or entertaining. When Jerma started to get shouted out by Ludwig and other creators as a weird/different/creative streamer it attracted these kinds of people too.

He's also falling into the trap a lot of big idea content creators do when they achieve success, overproducing content. Like @Meltryllis said his best event stuff wasn't anything that cost a bunch of money. The IRL Jerma Rumble way back was a novelty, but based on it's own merit I would rather watch him playing a regular game. Now the community is more about the idea of being different rather than actually being entertaining, or at least more is now than ever. On the internet production quality often takes away rather than adds. I laughed way harder at the Halloween stream when he debuted Bugleberry with a shitty mic peaking than any big event stream. But maybe that's just me.

Maybe this is too exceptional for some twitch streamer but I'm so sick of seeing trannies try to invade every decent community and ruin it. What do they actually create of value? They are parasites.

RTGame also comes to mind, in regards to former TF2 streamers that were able to successfully moved to variety gaming. It seems like he hasn't gone down the rabbit hole yet, compared to Jerma. Then again, given that RT's known for playing games in the "wrong way", sometimes to push a game to see how far it goes before it breaks, it makes him less susceptible to the things that led Jerma to change in recent years.

Any kind of streamer "arcs" and "lore" are autistic. It's sad to see it happen to Jerma though. I gave up on his content early last year, but I've got nostalgia for his older stuff. To see him keep getting worse and worse as his fanbase increasingly become a homogenous pit of deviant retards is still disappointing.

Man, are we ever going to see him stream random Xbox/PS2 era games again? Those were always some of my favorite streams. I loved watching him power through the PS2 LOTR games and sitting through 9 whole fucking hours of Seaman on Dreamcast. Kinda crazy his Thing stream was only 3 years ago and it feels so different than modern Jerma. I still enjoy his streams, but he kinda turned into what he used to parody.

Update: He said on today's stream he's actually going to be doing another PS1/Xbox showcase soon. He was originally going to play Driver 1 on PC today, but he decided to order a copy of the PS1 version as apparently the PC port is a mess. Should be pretty fun.

I really liked Jerma up until the monkey torture stream. At first I thought it was one of his bits but after he showed that clip of the capuchin getting a drill bit through the eye I quit. It was so horrible. The way Jerma howled with laughter was beyond fucked. He commented on how "hilarious" the clip was, and how "the little bastard deserved it", before replaying it several times to his own amusement. I've been a longtime fan but after these antics I can't support him anymore. His monkey torture fascination coupled with his support of trans rights made me unsub and judging by the quality of his most recent streams that was a smart decision.

Listen here, you tasteless faggot. The Tranny shit is terrible, we all agree, but that 12 hour charity monkey torture stream was some of the funniest shit he ever did.

The 2ndJerma video for the Gotham Knights stream with Hasan just came out, full of the usual comments calling anyone who didn't like the collab snowflakes. It got me again thinking of what he could do to get that other side screaming and crying and I finally figured it out. Hogwarts Legacy comes out in about a month and it's no secret that Jerma is a Harry Potter fan. Not to mention that it's also published by Warner Bros, meaning there's a very real chance it could come up as a sponsored stream. All those people calling others triggered in the comments for hating Hasan no doubt hate TERF queen JK Rowling just as much, possibly even more so.

Is Jerma enough of an ally to turn down sponsorship money and deny himself from playing a game that actually looks pretty good from a series he likes? If he does go through with playing it, will his mods do anything about the inevitable pride spam that will plague the chat as a form of gay protest? I think this will be the real determining factor of whether or not he's still trying to please everyone or if he has finally sold out to the woke mob.
