Entertainment legitimately does this nowadays and will even false flag start it now just because they would rather do this and still go bankrupt than try for minimal level competence.

It is dead, but that doesn't mean retards aren't still watching zombie shows. Fear the Walking Dead is now ending in their 8th fucking season. Just think of that. A spinoff that came out when the main show was already tired and goes eight fucking seasons.

Dont be mistaken, its all intentional. These people either at best take advantage of the fucked up cultural situation we find ourselves in or actively aided for it to get this way.

They know they put us in a difficult spot to criticise them because they have gaslit the population into accepting that these criticisms are obviously the result of racism among the gamer population (with Gamergate being mentioned somewhere Im sure even tho they probably wont be able to say what it even means anymore). Its not the result of passionate fans just wanting for things to be loyal to the source material, no, its the inherent original sin racists inside all of them that must be supressed by your oppressive heroic efforts because you, my dear, is a good person because only a good person would defend the naturally always down on their luck minories who need a white savior to pull them back up.

I wont discard the possibility that there are groups that give these entertainment companies a tax cut or monetary compensation for any loss in viewership as long they add a check list of alterations to fit "modern standards". But I wont pretend that a lot of these wouldnt do it for free anyway.

Making a movie that unintentionally (or intentionally) alienates your intended audience? Fuck it - flash a few rainbow flags in the ad campaign, and all of a sudden, you've got a Starbucks promotion and are making millions more with half the viewership. Running an age-old newspaper with more circulation issues than MovieBob's feet? No problem! ESG it the fuck up and encourage a billionaire buyout so some ass canoe from a coastal corporation can have his very own Bolshevik bullying pulpit. Sadly, it will be watched because the average consumer is a fucking lemming. I'd love this to flop but I see all of the media blitz doing it's usual bullshit and the general consumer doesn't know or care what a Last of Us is, so it's not like they will go with a preconcieved idea of what it should be.

If fucking Avatar 2 was watched in mass, so will this.
